"I have lived in my apartment for going on three years. Since the new management of Aaron, the buildings grounds and safety have been a priority. They added lights the parking lot and as a single woman this brings extra comfort. Aaron has taken interest in the wellbeing of the apartments but also tenants. I was going to move out but after meeting Aaron I decided to stay. As mentioned earlier, I have lived here going on three years and this is the first time I have seen and felt valued and cared for by management. The grounds and much needed insulation repairs are being taken care and I believe it is due to new management hearing and creating an action plan with tenants concerns."
"It seems most apartments will do anything to get money out of you. Especially, if you’re a sleep deprived, emotionally worn out workaholic just trying to save up for your dreams. I will never rent an apartment again. I don’t have two lifetimes to work for my dreams. This is the second time I’ve been charged and not given my deposit back. This time was an absurd amount as well ($1180). I shouldn’t have to pay for professional cleaning. No amount of cleaning will fix a low quality, dingy, apartment. I did them the courtesy of deep cleaning the apartment before I left, even though I was tired and have a very busy life. I also have never paid rent late in my life. I was taught high standards growing up, by my parents, such as leaving a place better than I left it before. If they want to “deep clean” or replace the carpet of an apartment or whatever, that I barely spent any time in except to sleep in for four hours a night because of my work life (working two jobs nonstop), that’s on them. I shouldn’t have to pay for that. I know they didn’t put any effort when I moved in so why should I pay for the next tenants when they didn’t care when I moved in. The apartment was low quality and dingy and I didn’t put up a fuss about it. I don’t mind paying the two months rent that I owed, obviously, from ending my lease early. But the other charges were unnecessary."
"I currently live here and it is not worth the money at all. They act like they care to fix things but they really don’t. We have placed several maintenance orders that never received a response; for example, our air ducts need to be cleaned. The air quality is so terrible in our apartment that we wheeze when we wake up in the morning. I have explained this to management through many texts and phone calls and they say they’ll get back to me about that and then never do. Second, our back door is not sealed properly and whenever it gets cold, it can get down to 65 in our apartment within a couple of hours due to the draft. We have to overcompensate with the heat and it drives our energy bill up. The last tenants tried to get the front door fixed because if it gets too cold, it won’t close properly, meaning it also doesn’t lock. Third, we had to clean the carpets ourselves because management did not and there was so much dog hair and dirt and dark spots in the carpet from the tenants before us. Do not waste your money living here."
"This was a nice place at one point. It has gone drastically downhill since the new management company took over. They don’t fix anything, they don’t keep the grounds clean, every time it rains the entire sidewalk floods for days because of draining issues they won’t fix. There hasn’t been anyone in the office since last year. Can’t wait to get out of here. Wish I could give zero stars."
"BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE! 1. The property manager (owner too?) DOES NOT CONSIDER MAINTENANCE A PRIORITY. I was in two different units and both smelled like smoke/musty. I lived on the second floor and some of the floorboards on the walkway rotted, leaving a hole that an adult could easily fall into. It took them a week to "fix it" by placing a sheet of plywood over it.. even though the remaining floorboards also need to be replaced because they're so old. That's how it remained until I left. The railing on my balcony was unsafe for months but they eventually replaced it. 2. Facility won't take responsibility for BUG INFESTATION. There are tiny holes in the walls, cracks in the molding and my door didn't properly align so I was dealing with bugs a lot. Even outside, there are spiderwebs everywhere. I felt like Indiana Jones every time I got home from work. This just ties back into the property manager/owner's lack of concern for maintaining the property. 3. YOU WILL NOT GET YOUR DEPOSIT BACK. I'm a clean person. My parents and I cleaned the apartment before I left. They charged my whole deposit ($500) for carpet treatments for bed bugs (I absolutely did not bring bed bugs into this place) and my cat. 4. The AC/heating unit is VERY LOUD. It's ridiculous.. make sure you try it before you rent. It gets embarrassing if you have people over. Also, make sure the drain works. The drain in my kitchen clogged easily and it was DISGUSTING. I know the price is enticing but, until The Place Apartments makes some changes, THE PRICE IS NOT WORTH IT. Spend your money somewhere else."
