"DO NOT MOVE TO 2909 Oliver. The roommate situation is extremely flawed. Either you move in with a stranger and stay there for the entire term of your lease, or you risk getting a worse roommate by moving again to a different apartment in the complex (at your own time and expense). The utilities are constantly changing, meaning I have been required to pay and overage almost every single month I’ve been here. The 3 bedrooms are $120 before being split up. There’s no reason that there should be overages every month. I’ve been stuck TWICE with irresponsible teenagers who leave the air on all the time, and the bill skyrockets. I was also required to pay and overage for the month PRIOR to me moving in since they bill out a month late, meaning I had to pay the previous tenant’s utility bill. Worse, 2909 does nothing about it. The only “solution” they offer is telling you to change rooms if you don’t like it. On top of that, if you want to move more than once, they charge you a fee of $200 and don’t even help you move. It’s all at your expense. Completely useless front desk. Their office hours aren’t convenient to a normal person’s schedule, and they are very rarely actually helpful. They do not stick to the rules of the lease. I have complained multiple times of an animal that lives above me causing disturbances, and they refuse to take care of the issue. The “on-campus” security officer is useless because he’s never actually on campus when you need him. My car has been broken into, the pool gate isn’t locked so a bunch of 8-10 who don’t live here came in and were causing havok, and I got locked out of my apartment. The officer didn’t help with any of that. They do not have security cameras except for facing the entrance, to an “gate” that had been broken for years, and they refuse to fix the gate. Anyone can just waltz in here. All-in-all, it has been a crappy experience."

"They may advertise you a apartment with new wood flooring and a clean carpet but don’t be fooled ! You may instead be given a apartment that reeks of smoke (even though it’s “non-smoking”), burned carpet, checkered floors from the 1700’s, doors that don’t close fully, lights that are falling, mold, etc. The best part is your next door neighbors may have higher quality amenities while your stuck with the old even though you are paying the same price. I highly advise you to check out ANY OTHER apartments. Anyone who gives this place 5 stars are psychologically dumb and need to seek mental help."

"edit : Really wish I could rate 0 stars. Lived here for 2 years and they were the worst 2 years of my life. Most apartments are not actually renovated, and they don't clean between tenants. The office staff is not helpful, and the lot is sketchy. They get 3rd party people to do a lot of their stuff, and I had them come into to my apartment without my knowledge, and leave MY DOOR OPEN. They didn't even apologize when this happened. People throw parties all week and if you live with people above you, you will never be able to sleep, because they stay up all night to party and sleep all day like bums. I seriously CANNOT TELL YOU ENOUGH STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE."

"The unit they show you is not always what you get. We moved in to green and beige checkered flooring, stained carpet, half painted walls, and couches that reeked of animal. The roommate situation is an absolute nightmare. Both of the random roommates they've put into my unit have been atrocious. Don't even try to break your lease, you'll still have to pay or find a subletter. They'll talk down to you when you ask questions about your lease even though you're a first time renter. They loose ESA documents and try charging you for past tenants overages. The auto payment works half of the time. We had a 2 foot mold spore in our apartment, in the closet and did nothing until I had my cosigner intervene. This is truly not a safe place, people get their cars broken into etc, people jump the fence and the gate is broken. The pool closes constantly for feces and multiple different reasons. Rent is ridiculous for the lack of amenities and dated apartments. We had fleas in the vacant unit for 2 months with rotting trash after the first roommate left and they did nothing until we complained about the smell. Didn't replace the carpet and tile until a new roommate needed the flea room. Ridiculous price for slum lord living."

"You get a lot of space and are close to the campus for a good price. I really loved having my own bathroom after having to share at the dorms. The quality of these apartments is not the best, there were a lot of stains and scuffs when I moved in, one of our oven burners doesn't really work and after two weeks maintenance still has not come by to fix the ice maker. Considering how expensive housing is right now it is an amazing deal but I would rather have moved into a an apartment with a new coat of paint on the walls and fully functioning appliances rather than one with the rewards points and other online things they spam you with."
