Reviews of ProFormance Physical Therapy
"I am impressed with each visit I have at ProFormance. I was recommended the clinic through my primary care physician, and I could not be more grateful. I came to ProFormance with a complex form of athletic pubalgia that left me unable to hold a stationary position without pain. I struggled mentally and physically as I went from bodybuilding and Ironman competitions to daily pain and dysfunction that was not relieved with any exercises prescribed by a previous PT. Then I met Laura and Sean at ProFormance. Laura listened attentively to all my symptoms, limitations, and questions. She guided me through what corrections needed to be made, and the potential progression of my condition. She took an immense amount of time to collaborate with my primary care physician. She also invited Sean to help me, because of his knowledge in strain-counter strain therapy. Sean’s investment in continuing his education to help and heal his patients is evident each visit. Together, Laura and Sean coordinate and communicate with ease, augmenting each other’s treatments and expertise. Sean’s extraordinary accuracy and Laura’s subtle and patient holds are healing me from the outside-in. The time they take for manual therapy is changing the course of my injury. I am so thankful for their continual help in better understanding the nature of my injury and the steps of treating it. Thank you to the entire team at ProFormance for making my visits possible and so productive."
"It has been my experience that this business is not accessible because: 1. The means of access to the Hydroworx 750i Series aquatic therapy pool is neither a transfer system with stairs, i.e. a transfer platform and a series of transfer steps that descend into the water, nor is the access considered accessible pool stairs, i.e. entry and exit from a standing position moving to or from the pool deck to the water with 2 grab bars. 2. This facility's therapy pool has 1 handrail and is not accessible for safe entry and exit. A transfer system has a minimum of 1 handrail required and accessible pool stairs would require 2 handrails with specified distances between for a person to safely use upper body strength to compensate for lower extremity challenges. 3. Other acceptable means of entry and exit also include the use of pool lifts or sloped entry or transfer walls which it doesn't appear this facility provides such means. 4. ADA also requires removal of barriers to access over time for any claimed reasons to not be able to provide compliant access, and I understand ProFormance has been at its current location since 2008, and since 2010 and at least thereafter since 2013, that their business plan has obviously not included any progressive plans to provide access to safe and accessible aquatic therapy for qualified persons with disabilities such as myself. Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) prohibits discrimination by places of public accommodation. Places of public accommodation are private businesses or organizations that provide goods and services to the public. Under Title III of the ADA, a place of public accommodation must ensure accessibility of all services, programs, and activities by eliminating any unnecessary eligibility criteria that screen out or tend to screen out persons with disabilities from fully and equally enjoying any goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages or accommodations; reasonably modifying policies, practices, or procedures to avoid discrimination; and ensuring that individuals with disabilities are not excluded from goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages or accommodations because existing buildings are inaccessible. I understand that there is often lack of disability awareness and ADA that I encounter often with regard to public accommodations facilities especially in Pullman. There needs to be education and awareness to avoid perpetuating myths and stereotypes about people with apparent or invisible disabilities (communication) especially any attempts to exclude or marginalize such people either by not following Title III or some outright exclusionary action like refusal of services because a public accommodations facility doesn't like people who advocate for their rights as I have witnessed in especially private medical clinics in Pullman also regulated by ADA and Title III."
"I had a great experience at ProFormance PT. The whole team of staff were always very friendly. Brandon helped me rehabilitate my ankle after an accident where I sprained and tore a few ligaments in my ankle and was in extreme pain on a daily basis. By the end of my treatment I left with the ability to run and jump with no pain! I would recommend Brandon at ProFromance to anyone in need of a Physical Therapist!"
"If you are looking for a place to do your physical therapy, this is it! The staff is very kind and professional, especially Brandon C! I've witnessed his care reach far beyond his job at Proformance. I have seen him take care of friends, family, and even fellow members at the gym I used to go to. He jumped up right away to help me after he noticed I hurt my back deadlifting at the gym. He even gave me a week of stretches to do at home! This is a man who genuinely loves helping people!"
"I have nothing bad to say about my visits here. I had back pain from an injury from nearly six months ago that wasn't improving, and within a few weeks of doing some simple, gradual exercises at the direction of this facility's staff I am doing much better and it has helped improve my posture as well. Nothing but good interactions with the therapists, students, and receptionists. If I ever am in need of personalized, targeted physical therapy again I will absolutely return."
