"This place is okay. It used to be nice, back when all the washers and dryers worked and there was the guy keeping the place clean. There used to be a manager named Selene that really cared about the place and would take care of you the best she could. They went through a couple other apartment managers and now the office is always closed and we’re supposed to just go to park vista or call them as they’re owned by the same people. That place is impossible to get a hold of. Biscayne advertises 24/7 emergency maintenance. I’ve called them three times, the first I locked my key in my apartment. They never showed up and I slept in my car. The second I had sewage backing up into my bathtub. They never showed up WND the park vista manager (supposed to be helping biscayne too) kept saying “a plumber has been called” but it stayed like that for five days. Now my a/c has been out for 4 days. I grew up in the desert so I can handle the apartment being 90+ and humid but I have a 14 year old dog who is suffering from it. I’ve called the office 4 days in a row, nobody answers. They’re supposed to be open 1 to 5 pm sundays I went in yesterday and nobody was there, the door was locked. I’ve been trying to call today too but I keep getting a busy tone on the phone. Despite all these issues and all this cost-cutting, rent keeps going up and I’m sure it’ll continue to. Three stars feels generous but I have been here for three years and I wouldn’t be able to buy a house this year if the rent weren’t so cheap the last three years that I’ve been here so I am grateful overall."
