"Incredible experience! While the above ground hiking was great, the cave tour was the main event. Beautiful formations and a very knowledgeable guide make for a highly educational and enjoyable experience."
"This is one of great National park and hub for Americas National animal. We visited this park during month of April and what an amazing experience we had. We got to see one of the diverse wild life in this park."
"We got there right before it closed so we were limited on what we could do. However I don’t regret it at all. The trail in the prairie was absolutely gorgeous. It was a great way to enjoy the sunset and see wild life. We were sad about not going into the cave, but they are not pet friendly so it worked out lol. For sure a beautiful setting regardless of the activity you chose."
"The cave is, of course, the star attraction here. Unfortunately, it is closed until mid to late October 2023 due to the elevator not operating. We knew this before visiting so while disappointing, it was not a surprise. Two trails we hiked, Cold Brooke Canyon and Rankin Ridge, were both very nice and had pleasant views, including a walk trough a prairie dog town on the Cold Brooke Canyon trail. We saw a bison herd, pronghorn, prairie dogs, and turkey. The visitor center has a good display on the cave and explains it well and you can make the walk to the tiny natural entrance to feel the wind blowing out of the small hole. There is no food in the park, sop plan on a picnic or leaving for eating."
"We had an amazing time here at Wind Cave. We spent two days exploring the park and caves. Excellent rangers. They were incredibly helpful and kind. Can’t wait to come back. My daughter really enjoyed the Jr Ranger program. The bison were in rut and put on quite the show. I’d recommend a cave tour too, we did the Fairground tour and it was top notch."
