"I cannot say enough about Dr. Ginger Cline. We followed her from her prior practice. She is so very thorough and takes time to talk to you. I know that she will always take care of our eye needs. But I also wonder about the billing. With Medicare, private insurance, and a vision insurance we still had a copay."

"I was put on hold for three minutes then disconnected. I called right back and the same woman that put me on hold answered to help me. I was looking to schedule an appt before the end of the year and she prefaced my call with SOME doctors are scheduling out past the first of the year. I mentioned I would be willing to see anyone, but I would like to be seen by the end of year. After several minutes of silence, she said yeah none of the doctors have anything and that was it. No options, no offer to put me on a cancellation list etc and I’m not sure how in the two minutes I was on the call ALL doctors lost availability before the end of the year. My doctor is leaving this practice at the first of the year, so I guess my family will just be finding another practice a little bit sooner."

"Incompetent billing staff: Does not correctly charge the insurance company at the time of purchase. Months later, after they realize they have made a mistake, they try to charge you again after you've already paid your out of pocket expenses in an attempt to fix their incompetence. After you explain to the smarter people that they have made a mistake, they admit fault, but it's too late because they are too late at making the claim against the insurance company because it's 8 months later. Now you are held accountable, but I will not pay for their incompetence."

"Heart of America Eye Care's financial practices are very questionable, beware! They have on several occasions tried to charge me for services that I've already paid for and/or my eye insurance has already paid them for. Before you just pay the bill that they keep sending, requesting payment again, investigate and make sure that you haven't already. I bet you will find that you already have paid and maybe more than once."

"As of today, I am a former patient. This practice has questionable financial practices. If you have more than one eligible insurance options, they will always steer you towards the one most profitable to them, even when it means additional out-of-pocket charges to the patient. They will even have the doctor argue with you in front of the entire reception area if you insist they file with a different plan. If you chose to use this practice, know which of your insurance plans you want used, and be prepared to have to fight their strong-armed tactics to use it. I've chosen to go elsewhere."
