"The Shredder puts killer shows for touring acts and local artists alike. Hardcore acts frequent here. The atmosphere has personality, lots of arcade games, hardcore posters, props and weird decorations to look at. They provide free water to guests. Having performed here myself I can say the crew is respectful and great. They treat the artists well. The live sound quality is good but usually mixed loud, so bring earplugs."

"Going to the Shredder has been some of the best experiences I've had with my teenage kids. They have been able to experience their first metal and punk concerts while also being able to skateboard and play video games between sets. Of course, I nostalgically enjoy the old 80s video games too, especially the pinball machines upstairs. The staff are super cool and have become friends of mine over the years. At this point, I can't imagine my life without the Shredder."
"Absolutely the best place in town for live music. The Shredder is constantly evolving and have introduced many new features over the years. The sound system is top notch, shows are all ages for those under 21, beer is available to those of age, pool table, photo booth, arcade and pinball games, front and back patios, balcony, and more. The environment at the venue is great with lots of Boise memorabilia to look at, vintage signs, artwork, etc. The staff is great and shows are affordably priced (be sure to buy some merch from the bands so they spread the word that Boise is a supportive scene and are encouraged to come back in the future!) Highly recommended venue!"
