"This is more of a complaint of avenue5 properties as a whole, because looking at reviews of their other properties i see similar complaints. Selway itself isn't totally to blame, because the issues seem consistent throughout the company. Negligent property management company that makes a habit of breaching rental contracts. Blatantly lies about work orders that they claim to be completed when in fact no assessment or work was done whatsoever. Mismanages rent payments and has to constantly renegotiate rental agreements due to a lack of data fidelity on their end (losing parking spaces, forgetting who exactly lives in each unit, withholding access to facilities for no appearant reason, etc). Won't respond to emails asking about rent payments I've submitted that they have mismanaged and won't apply towards my rent account. I've rented from many property managers, this is the first that is willing to violate lease contracts due to their own carelessness. I recommend that you do everything in your power to avoid entering a lease agreement with any avenue5 properties."

"My boyfriend and I were looking for a place to live for months. We applied for an apartment through Selway and the management called me not even 5 minutes after it was submitted to follow up on our request. We were instantly approved and moved in the next week. We had to juggle times to work around our work schedules, but Dion was great and completely worked with us and made it so simple. Would highly recommend renting through Selway!"

"After 2 1/2 years living at Selway I thought they would have the pool and hot tub figured out by now. The pool filter and circulation is either broken or not enough for the size so it looks nasty. The fountains and kids water pad has work a hand full of times since 2017 and the Jets never seem to work for longer than a couple of days after they shut it down for maintenance. There are new rules and regulations almost monthly and the intense increase in rent for the place itself. We are being relocated for work to help prevent future fires in California due to utilities at least with 2 weeks notice to be there and we just signed our 3rd 13 month contract. I expected to pay a decent amount to break contract but they make it almost impossible. We have to give 60 days notice so we are paying for 2 months of rent and utilities after we vacate the property plus $2000 buy out plus we forfeit our $400 deposit. This all while trying to relocate with family. I just feel like I'm being taken advantage of. I would at least like to enjoy a clean pool while I get all of my money plus some taken from me. Hey thanks for the new carpet in the gym. It needed it when I moved in back in 2017. It does feel so much cleaner."
