"I have had two troubling interactions with your ER and urgent care providers, both are PAs. I’ m a retired FNP and I worked at CMCI. Both providers never “examined” me. I was there once with what turned out to be a collapsed vertebra. I was never touched, I was never counseled on what I should do next no x-rays., no referral, I had a single pain medication given to me and sent home. This was an hour after screaming in agonizing pain and barely able to move. Ended up going to Western Orthopedics on my own initiative. MRI, PT, and back injection. Which I tried to set up at our hospital but never got called back. Great patient care. Recently I broke a rib. Got ER care at the local hospital in eastern Kansas . Went to our urgent care when I got home because my abdomen in the area was tender and I’m on anticoagulants. The PA. never examined me. She never listened to my abdomen, and she never palpated my abdomen. Her remark “ you had a normal CT (5 days ago) I don’t know what you want me to do. Oh, she did do some bloodwork so it wasn’t a total waste. Her nurse Melissa was great! Having worked as an FNP as well as a supervisor at the hospital, I know what an adequate exam is. I got one from neither provider. This is not the way I was trained and I hope it’s not how they were taught or I despair for the future of medical care. I moved my health care back to Colby after the trouble with Dr. Hildyard. Water under the bridge, different medical personnel, progressive medical community and advancing age were contributing factors. You’re making me regret my decision . I gave you two stars because I have seen two other providers who were very helpful and tried their best to help me."

"When I got out of my Troubled Teen program I was sent here because I had Covid, while I was there the nurses were very kind to me as well as the other staff. They were very gentle and healing in a hard time. It’s been two years and I still remember the conversations I had with all the staff.
