"Went to the Welcome Center (Office) to pay my daughter’s rent- received a very unfriendly “welcome”- the receptionist had daggers in her eyes. Then I made a benign comment about the rent amount ($1492) being the same date that Columbus discovered America. OMG! The hostile diatribe of cancel-culture that followed made me feel even more uncomfortable. I know- hilarious, right? I guess she was having a bad day… but I was relieved when I closed the door behind me."
"I’ve been waiting months now for them to replace my door because it’s broken and instead they’ve just replaced the locks more times then I can keep track. My whole apartment is constantly falling apart and it’s past the legal requirement to replace my carpets of which I requested and they always have excuses to not do the repairs I request and instead something minimal effort that doesn’t last long at all. There is a local Karen that I’ve ran into twice yet somehow knows practically my whole life story who called me names in the office and was EXTREMELY disrespectful talking about me as I was standing there like I wasn’t there calling me trash and such and the office asked me to just let it go and basically to just deal with it. So clearly they’ve been talking about me to other tenants. Which I know is true because they’ve tried to talk about other tenants with me. Some of my friendlier neighbors have said so as well. My electrical outlets fried my microwave and a few other things so clearly my outlets are old and misfiring or something. I’ve mentioned it to them a few times and they’ve done nothing about it. Every maintenance request I’ve put in has taken weeks if not months for them to do anything and then when they do they have every excuse under the moon to do the bare minimum. So it falls apart not long after. My next door neighbor has been waiting for her requests and updates for weeks to months every time as well and is constantly telling me how little they care about her. Multiple people have requested they put in cameras because my neighbors have had their cars broken into multiple times and the lights are too dark to see much. I am forced to stay here financially until I can afford to get the heck out of here but I sure as heck wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. I’ve been here about 3 years and I’ve been kind and patient but I’m fed up. They are unprofessional, unreliable, untrustworthy, and these apartments are not safe. To top that off I was PROMISED because I SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED a bottom floor apartment when I first moved in and the apartment they told me i would be getting was a bottom floor in the gray buildings by the office that they very clearly care more about and the day I moved in they gave me my key and it was to this third floor run down brown apartments. I’ve brought that up to them multiple times over the years I’ve been here and they’ve basically told me there’s nothing they can do about it and to just deal with it."
"Did all of the background checks, ($40 a piece) got approved, (which slightly lowered our credit scores) and then we were informed that the unit we were supposed to move into wasn't "actually" available. Do not deal with these people, they obviously have major internal communicatiom issues. Cant express in words how unhappy I am with these "professionals""
"I truly enjoy living at The Villages. I moved to Spokane from New York City and love my new life and love my new apartment!!!!"
"I wouldn't rent from this place unless you want to be harassed and have your vehicles vandalized. I lent my truck to a friend and tenant of this apartment complex. The staff didn't recognize the truck so they drained my front left tire, as the cap was missing and there are no leaks in my ties, so that they could place their sticker on it which is impossible to get off saying they are going to tow the vehicle. It was there less than 12 hours when they did this. When I brought up my concerns to the staff they told me to get off the property and that I wasn't allowed to retrieve my truck anymore. I was there filling the tire they drained at the time. I told them I refused and that I was going to complete my work and remove the truck. They then proceeded to call the police and lie saying that I was threatening their lives with a weapon....which I did not have. I got the truck going before the police go there but the reason I know this is what they claimed is I was pulled over on the way home and pulled out of my truck while the police looked in my truck for the weapon I was supposedly threatening them with. After they found nothing and I told them my side of the story they let me go. Point of all this is don't live here unless you want your lives made miserable by the staff that run this place."
