"Not only is the maintenance man a creep, he’s blatantly racist. If you’re white, you can do anything to your car on the property from rebuilding it in your garage, to changing the oil without complaint. If you’re not white, have fun changing a tire in the garage without him accosting you. If you have a guest who’s not white, he’s also very rude. Have fun trying to get anything fixed, I’ve gone through 5 refrigerators since moving in, I’ve had mold growing out of my wall all the way down from the upstairs neighbors dishwasher, the owners won’t hire outside help to fix it and instead had the maintenance man do it, even when it was checked by a professional who said it needed extensive repairs, they only taped the pipe and patched the tiny hole before painting over the wall. Same with the outside water spigot leaking into the wall. Ants and bees will infest your apartment every spring and fall and they’ll blame it on you keeping your coffee maker on the counter. Nobody picks up after their dogs, my son was attacked here by a Pitt, I’ve had drill holes in my bathroom ceiling for over a year to “dry out” the wall from a leak. They never put the linoleum flooring down correctly, so it’s bubbles up and even cracked in places even though it was “new” when we moved in. Even the carpet lifts up in spots. If you lock your bike up under the stairs, the lock will be cut and your stuff stolen. Kids come from neighboring apartments and will go 5 on 1 kid beating them up. The office cameras don’t record and only have live feed and they have no outgoing mailbox."

"SEVERE BLACK MOLD IN APT G101, which has been painted over and covered with sheetrock. We noticed severe black mold under the kitchen sink (from the floor to the top of the counter on the entire back wall), due to the first water pipe leak February 2019. 1) The severe BLACK MOLD consumed two entire walls inside the lower cupboard located left of the kitchen sink; 3) BLACK MOLD spread behind the dishwasher (right of the kitchen sink); 4) BLACK MOLD spread on the sheetrock next to the lower kitchen cupboard; 5) BLACK MOLD spread on the wall in the kitchen facing the outside (which connected to same lower cupboard w/black mold). 6) BLACK MOLD spread through kitchen sheetrock and into the dining room two walls (First Dining Wall: meas: 81" long and 36" height; and connecting to the Second Dining Wall: going into the corner against the outside wall which meas: 40" long by 36" height); 7) All caused by three broken water pipes. April 10, 2019, there is another water leak again under the kitchen sink with soaked sheetrock 8" height and from the back wall to the front cupboard door, and black mold again. Kevin and Keith McCathren Corporate owners only allowed the Apt. complex maintenance man to work on project, so there was NO professional abatement team that came out. So once it was looked at, the maintenance man began cutting and ripping out sheetrock, and no one gave us enough notice to cover our belongings, which exposed MAJOR BLACK MOLD and MOLD SPORES and MYCROTOXINS EVERYWHERE (*NOTE: SEVERE EXPOSURE TO MOLD SPORES AND MYCROTOXINS ARE VERY DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH, AND YOU CANNOT KILL THEM). McCathren Corporate only allowed the maintenance man to paint over the black molded 2 x 4's inside the walls, and the McCathren men came knocking on our door without any notice that they were coming to inspect the severe problem Kevin McCathren strictly said, "Paint it and be done!!" So, April 10, 2019, there are still 12 boards of 2 x 4's that still have black mold, and covered with sheetrock. We have been dealing with BLACK MOLD since the middle of February 2019, and living in our bedroom because we could not afford to live in a motel; and McCathren Corporate would not help us out in any way, in fact, both McCathren men were very loud and RUDE to both of us, when we have been pleasant and patient through this nightmare. We are sick with mold sickness-severe asthma-wheezing and diarrhea for days. We loved Doug, maintenance man and Ashley Office Mgr, but both of hands were tied when Corporate stepped in the situation. "I would honestly give this place a zero if I was able to. I find it important to share this review because I don't want anyone to fall into the same financial trap that I did. I paid over double the normal deposits because my husband and I had a credit score that was 2 points lower than they normally accept. I would put in maintenance requests and no one would come or reply. I would call, email, try to go to the office. The manager is almost always "on vacation" and I saw her for maybe two hours a day in the office when she did decide to come to work. We had our original manager quit suddenly and the same with the first maintenance man. Both cited issues with the company and had no or a very minimal notice before they left. Once the first manager left promises were broken and all agreements we previously had went out the window. I was told that our carpet was going to be replaced when we left because of age, regardless of how we left it. The vinyl flooring tore looking at it. My husband tripped in his combat boots and tore the floor. I requested a fix for it and they apartments never replied and then charged us for new vinyl when we moved out. I get that it needed replaced but I tried to get it fixed while we were still there. The neighborhood was awful and there was a group of teenage boys setting off fireworks under the vehicles of the residents cars. The apartments did nothing to stop that behavior or reprimand the families of the boys who lived there. Our cars were broken into often and most of my husbands military gear was stolen from his vehicle the month he deployed. Again nothing was done by management to investigate that issue. There was a different issue with maintenance not fixing the dishwasher when I asked them to, they didn't fix the washer that flooded constantly (even with only one t-shirt in there), or they didn't fix the wash closet doors. I was astounded by the level they avoided helping the tenants. There are issues with bees and with ants entering the apartments that they don't fix. Dogs from neighboring complexes come and poop in the lan owned by these apartments and then you are held accountable for the other peoples dog messes. I could go on and on about it. NEVER LIVE HERE"

"I have lived here for just about three years. This place has turned over in ownership once and over in management three times. The apartments are well care for. There has been a few break-ins to cars like any other place in Spokane, so this should not go against the management. Also Shari tries to rent to good people that obey rules of the complex. All I can say is, I've lived in many apartments and these apartments are no worse than any others in Spokane Valley. Any time I've dealt with Shari she's been very professional and understanding to my needs. I have a pit bull dog and she's great and I've never had a problem with her living here. Just note take the bad reviews with a grain of salt...."

"WORST Apartment to ever live in. The management lady Sheri there is inconsiderate and rude!!! This apartment has had 4 different managers in the last year and this lady is the worst one of all. I have called multiple times to get things fixed in apartment, and they never come. It took months for us to get our Dryer, blinds, and shower fixed when we first moved in... and i'm STILL waiting on the bathroom to get fixed up... Also, if you ever want to park at the apartment complex, you are going to get towed if you are there during business hours. They won't call you or anything!! My neighbor told them it was my car.. and tried to let him put it in his parking spot.. and they still ignored him and towed it anyway. it will cost you over $500 to get it out. DON"T live here. They are the ABSOLUTE worst."
