""Avoid Rubicon shuttles. One of their drivers bent a trailer fender enough that it ripped most of the tread off that trailer tire. I emailed Rubicon photos. Repairs to the fender and a new tire will cost me hundreds of $$$, but Rubicon now won't return my calls." I originally posted the above 1-star review on July 11, 2023 after: (1) speaking with Dave, Rubicon’s owner; (2) emailing to him photos showing the damage to my trailer; (3) calling Rubicon 2 days later, and then (4) calling Rubicon again 3 days later, with no response. The last time I called, the voice mailbox was full. When I left the trailer at the Boundary Creek transfer camp on July 1, it was undamaged. When I found it at Cache Bar on July 6 after Rubicon’s shuttle it was damaged, including a bent fender, a destroyed tire, and a fender flare that had been completely torn off. Attached photos 1 and 2 show the damaged fender and the damaged tire. Photo No. 3 shows the other side of the trailer, which has an intact fender flare identical to the one that was torn off by Rubicon's driver. The 1-star review got Dave’s attention. He called almost immediately, angrily insisting that I delete the review, saying he had not yet had time to speak with his lead driver or the driver of my rig. When asked why he had not responded to my email and voice messages over a span of 4 days, he said he was “too busy.” Dave refused to address the issue unless I deleted the post. He repeatedly insisted: “We are a 5-star company.” I told him that 5-star companies promptly respond to customer claims, and take financial responsibility when they damage a customer’s vehicle. But, I agreed to delete the post temporarily and gave Dave another week to investigate in the hope he would ultimately take financial responsibility. I emailed Rubicon advising that the post had been deleted, and that they had until July 18, 2023 (one week later) to respond. I did not hear back from Dave, or anyone else at Rubicon, during that ensuing week. I have been required to pay hundreds of $$$ for repairs to my trailer, including a new tire, so I can continue to use it. That is, in my opinion, an abysmal failure to respond and take responsibility. So, I re-posted this 1-star review on July 19, 2023, 13 days after I found my damaged trailer at Cache Bar, and 11 days after I emailed Rubicon photos proving the damage. Judge for yourself whether you wish to do business with a company whose owner angrily attacked and attempted to intimidate this customer who reported trailer damage by one of his drivers, and has since "ghosted" for more than a week, refusing to take financial responsibility for that damage."
"We used Rubicon to setup a shuttle for a private trip. Customer service was excellent, and our shuttle was setup without any snags! We even booked a week out (due to a different trip plan that needed to be canceled), we had to make a couple of changes to our shuttle plan last minute, and everything was communicated clearly without any issues. They responded very quickly to emails and questions. Thank you Rubicon for a great experience! Will definitely use your service again!"
"Bobbie was an amazing guide! We had an absolute blast. The service and professionalism was top notch. Would 100% recommend!!!"
"Our 1st ever white water raft trip was made even better with the great people at Rubicon. Our guide, Hunter, was fantastic! We look forward to future trips with Rubicon. We will indeed be back."
"The 4 day Lower Salmon trip exceeded every expectation I had. Each member of the crew brought something special to the experience: Chris was very knowledgeable of the river and the history of the area (and also just a super interesting guy!), Dan brought silliness and chill to the group dynamic, Hunter was genuinely hospitable and sweet, Challis cooked up some killer camp dinners, and Eli the Lab added light-hearted fun with his happy presence. We and some other trip members had dietary restrictions that were considered at each delicious meal and we never felt like it was a burden. This small outfitter is doing everything right and I can't wait to embark on another trip with them."
