"I’m very happy at the idea of health insurance but this has been a living nightmare. I wish there was someone who could actually help but even the insurance agent was less than helpful. I’ve done this by myself and I’m at a point of dropping the health insurance because I can’t find a person to help. And all the phone numbers select health has listed is absolutely crazy. Call one number just to get another number just to get another number and it keeps going until I give up. It feels this insurance has more people give up then succeed."

"The call was initially answered from somewhere outside the US. I could not understand what was being said due to thick accent. That person sent me to another person and they were in the wrong department. When I finally got to the person that could help me, the service was excellent. She was pleasant, knowledgeable, and took care of the issue in a very timely manner. That is the only reason I gave four stars. Had this survey been about the initial answering of my call I would give 0 stars"

"This company does not do what’s best for you. Premiums are high and they took my money knowing that my husband didn’t qualify for coverage while being a Medicare recipient. Also denied prescription coverage for myself now I have to appeal the decision they know with the conditions that I have a prescription medication could help me improve my health for the better but instead denies the coverage in hope that my health will get worse requiring further treatment for poor heath in other words it’s beneficial for Select health to profit off poor health than to approve medication that can lead to healthy life. My advice choose an insurance plan other than Select Health. They don’t have your best interest in mind only their financial prosperity is what matters most to Select health……,"

"Getting a reimbursement for prescription from these guys is an absolute joke. I would never use these guys again. I pay $400.00 every month and the 1 time I go to use them, they balk and the communication along the way has been putrid on their part. My family and I will NEVER use or recommend this joke of a company."

"Paying significantly larger portions of the bill than I ever did when I had Blue Cross Blue Choice. Confusing explanation of charges. Customer service does not seem knowledgeable. Calling is useless. Everyone I work with who has this insurance talks about how awful it is. Super surprising to see the good rating."
