Goodrich Hotel

"My daughter and I stayed at the Goodrich Hotel on our way to Idaho and stayed for one night. We were disappointed with the experience. Let me tell you the things I liked about it first. The host, Lana was very communicative, responded in a timely manner to my inquiries, and set clear expectations. Someone had spent some time fixing up the small apartment we stayed in and the decor was cute and rustic. Another review had mentioned bedbugs. We thoroughly inspected the bed and the futon and found no evidence of bedbugs. Although we did find a small centipede. That was fun. The location in the center of town was great. Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. The space was not properly cleaned. The sheets in the main bed were dirty and wrinkled and had to be exchanged with another set we found (also wrinkled, but appeared to be clean), there was a large brown stain in the middle of the space rug in the living room, the microwave was dirty, the shower was dirty and had a moldy slipmat and shower curtin (we couldn't take showers), toilet and sink were also dirty. Even the TV was dirty. Looks like someone splashed liquid all over it. Everywhere you looked was a dirty or dusty place. (Stove was actually very clean). Moreover, there was a horrible sewage smell. I had seen a review about this before, but it was from 7 years ago. I would have thought that would be fixed by now. It was not. Worse was the smell of cigarettes. Everywhere you look it's posted "No Smoking" but the smell was dense in that space. This rule apparently is not enforced. Between the sewage smell and the cigarettes, I could barely sleep or breathe all night. Overall, I will not stay here again. It's too bad too, because this hotel has so much potential. It would be nice to see it under good management."

"My son and I are going through hardships right now. I was looking for a place to go and Ontario and Goodrich hotel popped up. So I called and Lana picked up, I told her that I was looking for a place for my son and I to go just for a bed and a shower. I told her I was only working with a $100 bill and nobody around here would help us. She helped us without any questions asked. She also showed us that they were canned foods here that we could have for dinner. She rented out to us an ENTIRE APARTMENT!! This place had five beds! Its own living room its own kitchen and own bathroom! I could believe my eyes! Plenty of blankets plenty of pillows perfect parking!!! Everything here is perfect. Yes so it's a little old. No BUGS of any sort, yes a little dusty but clean. So I tried out to help and I vacuumed and dusted and mopped the floors for her. Because when I met her in Ontario to hand her the money and give her my picture of my ID she was painting a house so I knew she was a busy lady. But for her to take her time out and help my son and was a huge blessing. So I did what I could pay it forward and help her out just a little. Thank you Lanna we needed the comfy cozy home you helped us out with. Anytime at all you ever need anything from either one of us please get ahold of me and I will be here with a smile."

"Nice and clean,beds and couch were comfortable. We were in the middle of a heat wave so the room was a little warm. It is a pretty old place, but I would stay there again."

"DO NOT STAY HERE! If I could give a negative star I would. The place is old and dirty. As soon as you open the front door you smell mildew. The landlady thinks she's doing people a favor because it is cheap and she provides essential things that need to be deep cleaned before using. The bathroom is disgusting, I had to replace the shower curtain and bath mat before I could take a shower. I bought my own comforter set and pillows because the ones on the bed were dingy and blood stained(pillow). She allows any and everyone to rent from her as long as you have the $. I was there for 2 days before I saw her or she came to collect her $. Lana is rude and does not know how to talk to people. I was eaten up by bedbugs and when I called her to come see one I was able to catch, she blamed them on me! I did not have any before I moved there from the Best Western in Ontario and have not seen one since moving out after 3 and a half days. Thank goodness I didn't take them with me. When returning my security deposit, she dropped a check off to the nursing facility I was working at! How unprofessional!!! She could not tell me who she left it with! This was the ONLY good thing about this stay that the apartment was less than 5 minutes from the job."

"It was not an apartment, it was a poorly rehabbed store front. Too many poorly finished areas to mention all of them. The furnace sounded like a jet engine. It took off every 20 minutes, making it impossible to get any sleep. Grit is on the cement floors throughout the place. The box spring cover had a sharp piece of metal sticking through the fabric cover. It was easy to catch on as you walked by the bed.We needed blankets and found American Red Cross blankets in the closet. What were these leftovers from a natural disaster? I don’t recommend this unit to anyone."
