"I just went there today. I have an injured knee and needed it to be seen. Due to the pain my blood pressure was through the roof which the Dr never touched on. Because my xray looked fine bone structure wise suddenly I was fat shamed. Told I need to get the weight loss surgery, that most of my problems will be fixed if I lose weight. Do physical therapy and lose weight that's the only way the issue will be resolved. People who have been big their whole lives know and understand the implications that heaviness has on our bodies-we aren't stupid. It's extremely invalidating to have the Dr not treat the symptoms and only look at the person's weight. This was a horrible experience and I want people to know that this is how you will get treated if your plus size."
"Everyone here is just AWESOME. Dana at the front desk is a Rockstar. Each doctor and nurse that helped me were all very knowledgeable, helpful, caring and made my experience the best it possibly could be, given my circumstances for being there. I would highly recommend this facility. I cannot say not even 1 negative thing about the people here and the facility itself. Thank you all SO MUCH. This is how medicine should be, and you guys give me hope in the medical field as a whole in this country."
"Sometimes I forget about my experiences here until I hear someone speak about how terrible their experience was here too…. Then everything just floods back to me and makes me incredibly sad for the handful of times I chose this urgent care location. Has it occurred to your staff, like at all, that patients can hear your conversations about us when you leave the room? I half believe the comments made are intentionally loud, but has no doctor or nurse ever noticed/commented on this? I first went in for a massive allergic reaction due to a face product. The nurse and doctor were oh so great to me in the room, but then they left and I was made fun of. Like, I could hear them talking about me before the doctor eventually came in. That moment stuck with me, but I reluctantly went in again due to your location in proximity to my home. Same thing, though it was comments about my weight, to the same doctor. Not concerning comments, like a doctor may have, but seriously calling me names. I left and just cried in my car. Unfortunately enough, my 8yr old son was with me. He heard them. He asked why I didn’t speak up. He comforted me, when he shouldn’t have needed anyone to. It’s been a few years since this experience, as I’ve refused to go back. Though I’ve heard similar encounters, even as of recently, that this still occurs. It’s difficult enough for some people to seek medical assistance. I have to hear about how even a small cold was caused by me being overweight, or that everything boils down to me having anxiety…. Just ridiculous! I encourage your staff to error on the side of kindness when encountering individuals. I understand your work hours are long and that you deal with some interesting people. I just hope that being mindful of what others can hear, becomes commonplace. Thank you"
"The front office person Carie was so nice and so welcoming. Dr Benjamin Mitchell was less than helpful. Typically love coming to this clinic but I won’t if he continues to work there."
"Let me start that I was late for check in by 15 minutes do to parking in front of building in handicap parking, I then had to maneuver, my wheel chair down side walk along building, trying to squeeze wheelchair past blue plastic sign holders that where in the way, on check in was told they couldn't see me because I was late, check in was at 10:30 am, I was there at 10:45, because of having to fight to get to rear of building appointment was 11 am, had paper work filled out well before 11, am appointment, maybe if there parking in back for multi care part was more handicap friendly, and staff little more understanding would be nice, at this point don't recommend there service for none urgent care"
