"I deleted my previous review of 5 stars, I leave two stars though for customer service I suppose, Kindness shown to me. However I have spent over $1000 dollars and I am on a payment plan due to deductible being $7,000. I will be paying for some time as it stands currently. I always get upset when I have to pay a company for services rendered when what I came in for is still keeping me from a good quality of life and had the same issues I came in with. Having said that come to find out that I was not diagnosed correctly, For two to three months I came in and was worked on and it lasted a day or so and then always came back to where I started. I recently was introduced to Onsen therapy which is an injury rehabilitation on Nerve, Muscle, Joint therapy. Rich Priest, CMT.COTT, worked on me for two hours trying to find the source of my pain that kept me limping. He found that my sacrum was off a bit causing nerve pain. He then found a nerve or muscle that was causing me sooo much pain in my pelvic bone area and pushed on it , simulating the exact pain I was having for over a year. He pushed gently but firm and after 20 minutes I was able to be pain free, no more limp, walked up the stairs from his office with both legs and it has not returned. I felt like it was a miracle that I can now really live my life and all I was expected to pay was $50. I will continue to pay for a service that did nothing for my injury, because that's the way the world works these days..not the first time I have to pay a provider that did not help my condition I went in for. However, I will be a testimony to Onsen Therapy as well as Rich Priest, CMT, Cott and Jeremiah Dobkins for introducing me to this type of therapy and for helping me to walk and live without this pain. I was truly healed this time and it did not break my finances. 12/19/2023 I wanted to add to this review, as I was unhappy with the money I put out and I’m still paying on, and did not get relief through this model they use. It was my sacrum that was the issue. However, I do believe that The model they use Facia Formation Model, is in fact an excellent model and is part of the issue I was having it just wasn’t what was the origin of my pain. I think Matthew is an amazing provider, he is so very caring towards his clients health. It is his life’s work to help people in bringing this model to the forefront of what is going on in many people that are struggling with body pain. I wish him the best in his retirement and thank him for bringing my attention to the importance of keeping our Facia flexible."
"I can’t say enough good things about Shelby, Rhonda, and the rest of the crew at Therapeutic Associates SE Boise. Shelby has been seeing me through a variety of injuries (incurred throughout life and more recently.) the added bonus of his Dry Needling has really helped me with vast improvements in my strength and mobility. I highly recommend this clinic. The front desk staff is always very helpful and friendly."
"Therapeutic associates has some of the most sketchy billing practices, likely fraud, I have encountered in healthcare. I am a healthcare provider myself and also have multiple family members and friends who are physical therapists, who confirm what TA is doing as far as billing is unethical and down right wrong. They use therapy aides to do things that therapy aids are not licensed or trained to do (PT assistants are at least licensed - though still not supposed to be billing, and I do not believe they are using licensed PT assistants, they are using PT AIDES) then bill you for those services (such as manipulation, therapeutic exercises, etc) which they are not allowed to bill for unless the licensed PT actually performs it or is present for it. I know it is hard with insurance reimbursement to stay profitable these days, but this is down right wrong. I got a $200 bill (with good insurance) for which I spent less than 15 minutes with the actual PT and maybe 20 minutes with a poorly trained PT aid who clearly was not qualified, then got billed for manual therapy, therapeutic exercises and neuromuscular reeducation - none of which was actually done by the PT. When I got the bill I tried multiple times to call and discuss with a manager but never got any call backs, so decided to give up, call it a loss and just pay the bill to be done with it. I now almost a year later just got a follow up bill for more money that my insurance didn't cover on the original bill, and sat on the phone with their customer service line ringing only to get sent to voicemail. At this point I plan to report them for medical fraud. Personally I don't think places with unethical billing practices like this deserve patient's trust, so in my opinion I'd steer clear."
"I went in for a shoulder and wrist/elbow injury. The staff was really friendly and hands on. I was a little wary before going after a bad PT experience at a different facility, but it was clear the staff here was knowledgeable and had my best interests for recovery at heart. I saw Able for the majority of my visits and he was great at identifying my needs and working out solutions. Our last appointment he helped me come up with a comprehensive plan to help insure I don’t injure myself again. Overall I’m very pleased with the outcome of the sessions."
"Excellent! Everyone in this office is professional and kind. Therapy is tailored to how the patient is feeling at the time, not a generalized plan. I have received excellent care and will continue to do so. :)"
