Reviews of Song's Acupuncture & Herbal Clinic
"I came here for accupunture to help with the symptoms from chemotherapy and John Song was wonderful, I have recommended him to friends!"
"Nice guy, seemed a little rushed. Bedside manner was iffy kind of interrupts you before you can finish a sentence and abruptly leaves. As far as the care itself, it was my first appointment. He put in believe a total of 5 or 6 needles and then he leaves for about 30-45 then comes back takes them out and sends you on your way. (Not saying that’s incorrect just sharing my experience like I said it was my 1st appt so I didn’t know what to expect)"
"1st appointment. Very nice and very knowledgeable! I will definitely be back! $300 for the tea. I only bought 1 gallon for $150. 2nd appointment. Very nice and very knowledgeable. Forgot 2 pins in me and I had to wait about 10 minutes for him to come back and see what was wrong. 3rd appointment. Very nice and knowledgeable. Very rushed. Used needles that were cleaned off with Kleenex and alcohol. I don't want someone else's needles or bad energy. My last visit. Very nice and knowledgeable man."
"I was introduced to John Song through Living Social and have been very pleased with my treatments. My original complaint was my knee and shoulder. John had my shoulder moving easily during my 1st treatment! He has been able to keep my knee comfortable and more important, through continued treatment, I have more energy, better complexion and skin, happier outlook, and better restful sleep. I am also drinking the herbal tea because that is part of the treatment and keeps me on track between visits. Acupuncture is not a pill you can take to mask your symptoms; it is a means to make your body heal the underlying causes for your symptoms. That doesn’t happen overnight. I’m very pleased with the progress and appreciate John’s direct dialogue as to my treatment plan. I find him to be very kind and genuinely interested in my overall health."
"It is hard for westerner's who aren't regularly exposed to Eastern medicine to grasp how Dr. Song works. He can tell what's going on based on energy lines. If something is overly active or weak then he knows how to balance it for you. Multiple sessions are necessary to get your body back into a stable balance. Each session will be different based on what he sees going on. He really is a master at acupuncture, and you should trust him to help you rather than trying to tell him what you need - even if you know a bit about your meridians, chakras, and auras, he has devoted his life to balancing them for a very long time. Trust him! His tea is interesting, it definitely helps with digestion and is very calming and restorative, but I'm not sure what is in it. $300 for a month of something that is probably healthier than most prescription pills though is a good deal, and he makes it with unique minerals and herbs for each person's needs. I broke my thumb and neck in a long boarding accident a year and a half before going to him. In that year and a half my broken thumb wouldn't bend as far, and I got a cluster headache almost every day that debilitated me. I am on my 6th session, I don't have much money but he is the least expensive acupuncturist in the US, and I just go once a week. My thumb moves great again because of him and my headaches are a rarity. Also, the tea really tastes great. $300 for a great tasting herbal/mineral remedy and under $50 per acupuncture appointment is very worth it. Especially, like I said, from such a master!"
