Reviews of Dr. Mark Hernandez, MD
"WOW SO MANY BAD REVIEWS!! HERE IS ANOTHER ONE!!!! IF I COULD GIVE NO STARS I WOULD.......BUT YOU HAVE TO GIVE ONE TO BE ABLE TO POST THIS REVIEW. So I was accepted as a new patient for Dr. Mark Hernandez. My physical was scheduled a month out. So I mentioned all of the pain I was in but that was the soonest date for a physical with Dr. Hernandez. So, I waited. 2 days before my appointment I got a call saying that they are short staffed and with Covid spikes they could not get me in and would I like to reschedule with Dr. Hernandez. I said yes and again my appt was a month out. Again, a few days before the appt. I get a call and this time they want to reschedule but proceed to tell me I am going to be with a nurse practitioner or a new doctor that they are hiring back. Well, I of course wanted a specific doctor based on my friends recommendation. I did not change my provider with my insurance and wait in pain for over 2 months to be thrown away to another doctor in the office. I was told from the very start I would be seeing Dr. Hernandez and after 2 months of waiting and going through all of the trouble to change my primary provider I am told I will be seeing a different doctor. THIS IS BEYOND UNPROFESSIONAL IN MY OPINION AND I AM VERY UPSET AT HOW I WAS TREATED ON THE LAST PHONE CALL BY THE PERSON THAT CALLED ME TO RESCHEDULE AGAIN WHEN THE NEW DOCTOR OR WHATEVER THAT PERSONS TITLE IS WAS OFFICIALLY IN THE OFFICE. IT IS A LOAD OF BS. AND TO POST THIS I AT LEAST HAVE TO GIVE A STAR OR THERE WOULD BE ZERO STARS."
"I am very appreciative of the care this office provided when I was diagnosed with Covid-19. They immediately notified me of my positive status and did an excellent job of explaining the quarantine procedure and timelines. Dr. Hernandez immediately prescribed a therapeutic regimen and I was able to pick up these medications from Sandpoint Super Drug in less than 3 hrs after I had my swab. I felt significantly better within 3 days of initiating this therapeutic regimen. The office called me several times after my initial contact to check on my status. The level of care and attention is something I have rarely experienced in a convenience care setting!"
"This doctor is worse than a rating 1. He is "horrible"! He is rude and gets offensive when asking a question. I asked him if steroids could give you an allergic reaction and he went off the handle. I told him he was the worse doctor I have ever encountered in my life because he wasn't listening and I was just asking a question. He went off and told me why was I questioning his diagnosis that he knew what he was doing and I could either take his diagnosis or not and was very rude telling me that I was a horrible rude person. I have "never" had a professional doctor talk to me this way!!!!!!! Do not see him! Staff was great where he works at Sandpoint Family Medicine and Urgent Care."
"This place saved my life. Dr Hernandez is the most conpassionate, kind and uplifting doctor I have met. He really makes you want to do good and be healthy. I feel like a lot of these bad reviews are from people in the Suboxone clinic... Get a clue people, being in the Suboxone program you are not a normal client. It's outpatient. They are doing you a HUGE service/favor by providing you with this program. It's a pain for them to even maintain the ability to provide this service. They don't put up with your addict excuses and don't have to. They have a waiting list a mile long with people that would kill to be there. Take responsibility for yourself and don't ruin a providers reviews with your sob stories. I will say that they do have paper thin walls, and this definitely needs to be addressed. Anyways, thank you SFMU. You guys are rockstars."
"Well this is great... I don't like talking crap about my providers but this is the last straw. The first time I went there I would give it maybe a 3/5. Dr Hernandez was wonderful to me. The office was not. I waited over an hour to see the doc, bogged down by a pesky nurse that has the gall to demand her view be known that cannabis has no known medical value.... Instantly I wondered about the care I would be receiving. Sure enough, fast forward one month. I missed my first appointment. I live 3 hours away with no car. Instead of working with me, they have a policy of "we can't call in prescriptions"; They 'couldn't' send in 6 days worth of suboxone to get me through till I saw him next; said I needed to just deal with it. WTF? I'm not a problem patient so why?? This is NOT the suboxone program people. You don't just kick someone off suboxone without a good reason, downplaying what hell and danger the withdrawals will be. So thanks guys, I'm going to intermountain hospital, derailing my life once again to save it... If I get there before using that is. Wait. all this, over a very outrageous policy on calling in a (small amount) of medication. Ironically, I can catch a greyhound 6 hours away easier than get up to that po dunk town. Point is, don't go to this office if you value your stability."
