"Usually, a great place to get care. However, if you get Joshua L. Mayfield PAC ask for another provider. Don't ask him though he will deny you that right and if you continue to see him you will find out he only cares for his opinion and is unwilling to collaborate with the patient. If he comes in your room, I suggest you run and fast. Funny thing is that he would not let me see another doctor but after I walked out on him, I read his notes in MyChart and found out that he had consulted with a real doctor in Tacoma, WA to get validation for his treatment plan which he developed without any actual physical exam he admits to this on the notes. Did not stop him from mis characterizing what happened in our encounter to suit himself and assassinate my character at the same time. Thank goodness my Multicare PCP and Physiatrist have known me for a decade and know who I really am. Total violation of my rights as a patient to not have my acute pain cared for in a fashion that we can agree on and gets me feeling better. In the Washington state code WAC 246-330-125 it states: "To be involved in all aspects of their care including refusing care and treatment and resolving problems with care decisions"."
"My wife was in this week for a hip replacement. The doctor and day nurses were amazing. The reason for the low score is the night nurses. My wife was cry and in extreme pain. After pressing nurse call button and waiting 20 mins, she started screaming out for a nurse. The nurse came in and said please don’t scream at me. I mean that’s insane. Also was indifferent to her pain and need after that. Unfortunately night staff was a horrible experience and should take lessons on kindness and empathy from the day staff. Horrible and scary experience for my wife who felt trapped and alone"
"From the nurse that overmedicated my mom with Valium to the respiratory therapist that significantly reduced the oxygen flow while she was on comfort care, which led to my mom being in distress and ultimately passing, I would not take my worst enemy to this hospital. These staff members should be fired or at least suspended without pay at minimum. What a horrific scene to remember during such a delicate time. A formal complaint will follow."
"My husband has been in the hospital now for 10 days. He hasn't had one shower since being admitted. He had to wait in the ER for over 10 hours before being moved into a room. He was assigned a private room. After several days they moved him in the middle of the night to a double room. What a joke. His "side" of the room wasn't even a 1/3 of the size of the room. It barely had enough room for his bed let alone room to get up and move. We had family members up there at least 16 hours per day with him and there was barely room to put a chair in there while his roommate has 2/3 of the room and one visitor for maybe a couple of hours each day. Because there was no room for him to move to make it to the restroom, he had an accident. My daughters had to hunt someone down to come help him. They did a piss poor job of cleaning. Several days later there was still urine and fecal matter on his bed and floor. Again they had to request someone come in and change his sheets. He was suppose to have someone clean his catheter and ports every shift. They marked it down as they did, but they did not. He was put in a room with a gentleman that was loud and always complaining so he got very little rest. After being moved into a double room he started having heart problems as he wasn't getting any rest at night. If he had been left alone in his single room, He would have been discharged by now. We requested he be moved back into a single room. As we walked the halls we saw several empty rooms he could have been moved back to. Very dissatisfied with the level of care he has received. Very unhygienic."
"Worst hospital experience I ever dealt with. I've been to Holly family, Sacred heart multiple times and never received service this bad. Nurses only come around every three to four hours. Call lights aren't awnsered. Doctor tells you to limit movement do to Surgery and skin graph. Well it's hard when you have to do everything since there's no Nurses..... Was on hospital for six days never once got a shower or bath. Never once asked if I wanted teeth brushed. It's sad how much these services have failed us."
