"I received orthodontic care from this location close to 7-8 years ago. I got braces a little later that normal, getting them on when I was 19/20. I had braces for about a year and a half for lower teeth crowding and an overbite. Fast forward to 2023, I moved to a new state and lost my retainer in the move so I established care at a new office in Washington. I was talking to my new doctor about some issues I am experiencing (receeding gums, teeth grinding at night, etc) and he said it was because my lower jaw is recessed/misaligned, which is what caused my overbite and tooth crowding in the first place. My new doctor referred to an oral maxillofacial surgeon and I am just now discovering that I need to get orthognathic double jaw surgery. I am perplexed that neither doctor at Trimmell Anders noticed the shape of my jaw or the recession and referred me to a surgeon. The health issues I have been experiencing in the years after my braces were taken off could have been avoided, and here I am at 29 years old, getting braces AGAIN to prepare for surgery, and having to pay thousands of dollars that could have been avoided. I'm not saying this is a bad practice. From what I remember it was very clean, modern, and the care was good. BUT, they performed what is known as "camouflage orthodontia" to supposedly fix my overbite instead of looking deeper at the root of the problem. Definitely shop around and get a second opinion before starting care here if you want to avoid repeating the process 10 years down the road like I am."

"Years ago, I had to get braces a second time as an adult. I was so pleased with the entire experience at Trimmell & Anders ( at that time and at their old location.) Then a few years ago, my daughter had to get braces and there was no question where she would go. My daughter has had a challenging journey due to her teeth not wanting to move. She also has autism and is very sensory sensitive and they have handled it so well. She has seen Dr White and we love her.
