"I bought two pies here today both were delicious. The bread is also amazing the price is a little high however the food is made exceptionally well I will be coming back again."
"The zwieback were so delicious last year- soft and light. Suddenly they are hard and extremely dense. Not at all how zwieback should be. I assume they have changed the baker? When I visited recently, I felt perhaps ownership had changed?"
"I’m pretty disappointed, growing up this was my favorite place to eat in Newton. Their German buffet is still good, but any other day of the week you will be let down. Went today for lunch after Church and was sorely reminded of why I hadn’t gone in awhile. The quality of the food has definitely gone down hill. For $18/person I would expect a lot more. Almost all the meats were empty, then when they did restock, it was dried up frozen fish fillets and bland chicken wings. The green beans and corn seemed as if they were microwaved right out of the can. I will only be returning for German buffet night, other than that I would most likely not recommend."
"This is a wonderful place to stop whenever we are traveling. The food from here is great, always fresh and hot. Spacious seating available. We always enjoy the Sunday buffet served here. Plenty of hot food options, salad bar, desserts, and drinks. A very nice bakery inside with plenty of baked goods to take home with you."
"What a wonderful local restaurant! I got the half order of meatloaf with the trimmings and my wife got the soup and salad. Tasted like mom’s cooking! Very busy place across from Metcalf Sisters Antiques and Collectables."
