Reviews of Central Spokane YMCA - YMCA of the Inland Northwest
"When I had custody of my grandsons, I quickly found out they're not there for the children, but the paying adults. I had a hard time getting them a membership, hard time getting them into camp and when $ 70 was donated for them to get swimming lessons they stole it. The staff is rude including management. The instructors are wonderful. I think someone is stealing money from the organization, because the receive lots of donations. It very sad and wish the contributors would do an audit. Believe me I tried at the time to make my complaints, but could never could get a response."
"The staff and acting manager are friendly and helpful. The facility is kept clean and I think it's a great place to workout. Only thing that I think could be improved would be increasing staff, but otherwise it's great!"
"Disgusting facility and RUDE STAFF. It smelled so strongly of piss we couldn't even enter the family changing room. Emma was extremely disrespectful and rude. $70 a month??? For what??? We're done. After 13 years coming here as a single mother, I'm done. This place has gone downhill. Anywhere would be better. Thanks Emma for finally making me cancel our family policy tonight!"
"I have been a member for several months and MOST of the time there is no issues recently, within the past 2 months, there have been life guard issues, they dont show up on time one doesnt show up at all and because they require 2 at all times They cant open the pool So then i basically woke up for nothing because i cant wait for someone to POSSIBLY come in because i have to get to work. This has happened at least 4 times to my knowledge and management needs to figure it out. Its not hard to learn who is late and either set up a back up or require they be in 15 min early to be sure they will arrive on time or something because this is beyond frustrating and with the member rates increasing its a slap in the face to have to pay more and not even get to work out. They have recently fixed alot of their issues with the closed hot tub and warm water pool so they do get an extra star for that fix."
"Love the gym, my kids like this location better then the other once. I love the designated area for stretching or having an ab workout. The front desk is always helpful, always nice. Basketball area is almost always open compared to other areas, example Northside always have something going on therfore kids who love to play need to know the schedule. Had one issue where the front desk didn't allow my son to come get me from upstairs, so he had to wait along time, yet I seen kids come upstairs to get there parents, otherwise no kids running around distracting of course. In all the gym is great when u go there with kids 10 years and up they can workout with or play have a designated area to do homework or play games, as well as pool."
