"This chair recover job was a LONG time coming. I contacted upholsters about this time last year and chose Home Fashions because I like to support women owned businesses and they gave me a good quote on the job. I found this bird fabric that I LOVED but it was way too expensive so I asked Christie if she had anything similar in her books, she did not and suggested I try Hobby Lobby and I was like, "Yeah, right, they're not gonna carry this overly priced fabric!" So I didn't do anything for a few months and one night I decided to look online and damn if Hobby Lobby not only had the same exact fabric but it was one quarter the price. Suddenly my project was back on the table! I had Christie check it out and make sure it was the same quality, she told me how much to order and we lined the chair up for recovering. I wasn't in a hurry and it was getting into the holidays so I told her no rush. Move on to a few weeks later and I was cruising around and looking at reviews and read this completely horrendous review of Home Fashions. WTH?! I freaked out and put the job on hold and sat on it until the beginning of this year. I finally emailed Christie and asked her if she would like to address the horrible review. We talked on the phone and I decided I'd made the right choice from the beginning. This is a 30 year old Ethan Allen chair, it's been recovered once before by Ethan Allen and now by Christie. She did a fabulous job. I love it and it makes me smile every time I look at it. Now I just need a new rug..."
