"Went there last night, it was a cluster of a mess. Waited to get seated which was fine. 5 of us together got seated, waited, waited, waited, waited some more to even get our drinks ordered. Waited, waited, waited, waited, waited 30 minutes for even someone to come and take our orders. Waited, waited, waited, waited and more waited for our food to be ready- 1 hour to get our food. Extremely understaffed, there were 4 tables (us included) we all waited so long then when we did get our food they brought all of the food at once to all the tables. Food was delicious though they need to figure out a different way of service. Maybe during lunch it won’t be bad but if you want to go to dinner- pick a different place to eat. We were there for over 2 1/2 hours. Service was horrible!"

"I was sad to see DeFazio's close... until I recently tried Sam's that moved in and boy oh boy was I surprised by the quality and taste. I was hesitant to try this new food joint, mostly because of all the memories at the former restaurant... Now, I'm telling everyone that this is the best Southern cooking in the Wichita area. The guys that own this franchise are friendly and eager to please. Even if they had horrible service, (which theirs is currently really good) the food was so darn good it'd still be worth it to check out. Guys, go see my other reviews - most are pretty blah... Negative this and that ... But I just had to say something positive about this new place. It's friendly, very good food, clean and I'll be coming back many more times if they continue to impress. Tip from the older ladies walking out when I rolled up, " Get the #19 fish and shrimp" and " Fried green tomatoes"... I went for the #19. They appeased my indecisive self and let me do half and half fried and grilled. Guys, the grilled fish is good but the fried fish is great. The grilled shrimp were seasoned nicely and not over cooked like most places do... Not here - they were spot on. However, the monster fried shrimp were simply the best I've had in the area... Might be better than momma's. Seriously people, this was good. Oh and I didn't have to reach for salt or pepper or anything olto mask the flavor. It's seasoned dang near as close to perfection as one could hope. My #19 had 2 full fish fillets and 6 shrimp with grilled veggies and pickles and a quarter spice l slice of tomatoes for garnish that I actually ate.. the dish came with 2 sides of my choice. I choose red beans n rice and slaw. Both great choices. The red beans n rice had fantastic flavor, again, no salt or anything needed. Isl strongly recommend. Oh, the best part, it's affordable for the whole family. Lunch, dinner, date night... Dang good stuff. Gonna be back with more people for sure."

"Loved their cheddar peppers and my husband really liked his shrimp po boy. Waiter was friendly and attentive especially for how busy it was. I was a little cold."
