"The restaurant wasn't clean. I felt dirty just sitting in the booth. We sat for about 15 minutes without any acknowledgement. When we finally got service, it took another ten minutes to get drinks. The coffee cups were dirty so we asked for new coffee. Those cups were dirty, too. We ended up just leaving. The restaurant was less than half full and the waitress was not friendly. I wouldn't recommend this place."
"The Beacon was clean and had a comfortable diner atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly which was great with how busy they were. My gf and I split the beacon traditional and an order of French toast which turned out to be perfect portion sizes for the both of us. It was good traditional breakfast food that wasn’t super fancy and it didn’t need to be. The price was good for the quality and portion sizes. I would eat here again and recommend to others."
"Old school dive serving some of the best breakfast I’ve had. I ordered the breakfast burrito with the country fried potatoes. The burrito was great and the potatoes were better. My kids ordered cinnamon rolls, bacon, and hash browns. The cinnamon roll melted in your mouth, hash browns cooked to perfection with just the right amount of crunch, and the bacon was fresh. We were in town for the state choir festival and a friend recommended The Beacon. A must stop if you’re in Wichita."
