"Honestly Eddie does not even deserve a one start. He is a dishonest person, his quality of work is poor, and he is not even supposed to be doing any work in Garden City, he is not allowed to pull any permits in Garden City. We are not the first people he has done this to and he owes other people lots of money. This is long but this is our experience with Eddie. Please be careful who you hire for any work in your home. My husband knew Eddie and thought we could trust him but we had to learn the hard way. We hired Eddie for work that needed to be done due to our basement flooding in early June. Eddie told us he would have all the work completed in top 2-3 days. We gave him a very large payment up front and he processed to remove all doors downstairs and closet shelving without having the material to replace all that needed to be replaced. When he went to purchase the doors they didn't have them in stock and they would need to be ordered. We found that to be a little weird he would start working without having materiel he would need. But ok, we continued to let him do his work. There was mold found and the wonderful people who helped with the water extraction took care of all that really fast. They were willing to get someone over to do the sheetrock repair but since we already had Eddie there he said he could do it, we were ok with that. Eddie put the other things he was originally hired for a side and proceeded to complete the sheetrock job. Eddie did the work knowing we would not be the responsible party for that job either the insurance would make out a supplement payment or the people helping with the water extraction would be taking care of it. Once the sheetrock job was done Eddie's workers would come and do a little work here and there. We began asking when the doors were going to be in and when will other work be completed. He would never give us a response about when work would be done but did tell us doors were in transit and should be here soon. More time past we are now into the beginning of July and still no doors and having a hard time getting him to respond. We start to call Menards which is where he said he ordered the doors from and they let us know there was never an order placed and if they were the doors would have been in within a week or two. At this point he wouldn't answer text messages or our calls. We had to call several time back to back to get him to answer. Every time we would talk to him he was more concerned about getting more money from us for the sheetrock job instead of finishing the job he had already been paid for. We always keep in contact with him when we heard from insurance letting him know they are backed up and they are trying to get the supplemental payment taken care of asap. Also at this point the work that was done was very poorly done and over half the work that was done had to be reworked leaving damage in the new material. All of this was brought to Eddie's attention and he would tell us he will take care of everything and replace what needed to be replaced. After going back and forth with Eddie and him never showing up when he said he would, we eventually decided we did not want him to do any other work in our home and would just like a refund for work that has not been completed and we would get someone else to complete the work. We told him to give us a new estimate for the work that was done including the sheetrock and then he could reimburse us the rest of the money and replace damage material. He would not give us an amount and was only wanting to give us very little back, but even at that we would have to wait tell he could give it back to us. He is back to not responding or answering phone calls. We do not recommend doing any kind of business with Fast Eddie's Construction."
