"I stopped by for the first and last time. The food was terrible. I ordered the lunch special #1 a chili rellano , beef taco and beans. My guest had the lunch special #2 chicken enchilada with beans and rice. The beans had a VERY weird taste and texture. And the chili rellano didn’t have the traditional cheese, it was like a queso! Very odd! No flavor but yuk! Sad! And the music the whole time we were there kept skipping, it was really irritating! I was hoping to love it, I drive through Vc every week and I would have been a consistent customer."

"The food and service at Tequilas is excellent! I've recently used them for both dine in and take out, and each time, it's been fantastic! The chips and salsa prior to the meal taste great. I typically order a small queso as well, and would highly recommend trying it if you haven't! My go to entree is the Pollo Bandido which comes smothered in their cheese dip. Wether it has been dine in or take out, the food is always hot and delicious! The waitstaff and the owners are always friendly and check in to make sure your meal turned out the way you wanted it!"

"We had excellent food and service at Tequilas Mexican Restaurant in Valley Center! We enjoyed chips and salsa prior to our meal, and they were some of the best I've eaten. My husband ordered the beef taco and beef enchilada combo with rice and refried beans. I've never liked refried beans, but I loved theirs. I had a shrimp taco and a fish taco along with the rice. Everything was cooked to perfection and delicious! We'll definitely be back!"

"I highly recommend going for the drinks and apps. The chips were nice and warm and fresh. And the drinks are nice and strong. The service was good and there was room for all even with them being a bit busier. My meal was a chicken chimichanga (a la carte option) and it was fine...didn't taste seasoned so I was more interested in the chips. Husband got the tacos al pastor which he said was fine. We will come back to keep trying the menu."
