Reviews of Chaney's Automotive
"I agree with others that Chaney's Automotive is the best place in town for auto repair, as long as you don't mind a messy (busy) shop and desk. This is the second time I have been in, this time to change the timing belt and water pump on my 2000 Tundra. He had the best price and the work was completed in one day. Did I say Jesse is really good at what he does? Highly recommended."
"Jesse did awesome work on my car at a fair price. I highly recommend him."
"Phenomenal service: honest, affordable, sincere, and efficient. My car (2005 Acura TL) had been making a loud metallic rubbing sound every time I turned the steering wheel both ways and it wasn't fixed with some added power steering fluid. I called around to a few places, Chaney's Automotive being one of them. Jesse answered the phone and told me to bring it by and he would tell me what was wrong with it and whether it was safe to drive on. After looking at my car, he said the lower ball joint on the driver's side needed to be fixed and that I should try not to drive on it since it was metal on metal and told me what would happen if it wasn't fixed. He gave me a quote, showed me what the price breakdown was, the type of parts he would use (Japanese make) and told me if I did drive on it to not go more than 35mph. Jesse didn't have time to get to it that day, but told me he could fit me in on Wednesday (3 business days later). I went to another shop down the road (Patriot Automotive) and they quoted me about $200 more. I brought my car back to Jesse that Wednesday. When I picked it up the next day (didn't have a ride to take me until that Thursday), he explained what he did and used another car that he had on the lift to illustrate. He also mentioned to me that he noticed my breaks were wearing down. He said they had a few months left and that I should bring it in whenever I start to hear a screeching sound when breaking. Ever since bringing it home from Chaney's Automotive, my steering has been as smooth as butter! I haven't had problems with it since. Thanks Jesse, appreciate your advice and services."
"I feel lucky to have found Chaney's Automotive. They do exceptional work at a very fare price. I wouldn't take my vehicle anywhere else."
"Jessy Chaney does not pay for a fancy front desk, waiting room, popcorn, etc. You don’t pay for all the unnecessary fluff that the professional-appearing shops end up quietly charge you for. Jessy almost expects me to hang around as he works on my car. He has a habit of just flat out explaining what he is doing as he does it. I walk away with priceless information that he just gives away like it’s nothing. He never says it, but I know he has nothing to hide. He has no instinct to keep anything from me. Jessy and his guys at the shop are covered in oil and swear. People who go to his shop are not wealthy professionals who don’t mind spending thousands a year on a a pretty shop and good feelings about their new Land Rover. “I’d just run that until it breaks, then come back.” “I wouldn’t fix that yet, it might get you through the winter.” Other shops want to do work BEFORE it breaks down. Jessy won’t waste the possible years of good use a component can give you. Jessy clearly wants your parts to run their full life before you spend your money on more work. There are very few places where they actually advise NOT to do work. This is the mark of a shop that prioritizes your saving money. I’ve shopped around a lot for car repairs. Lots of shops. My friends and family go through me often, as a long time delivery driver with some repair experience. Chaney is on a league of its own. Jessy and his guys are covered in oil, swear a lot, and they charge so little for the work they do. What could be better?"
