Sonic Drive-In

"Here’s the caveat: I eat a ton of fast food and it takes a lot for me to rate a fast food place at all. People don’t have an appreciation for the food and leave bad reviews that aren’t warranted…This experience was special, and not in a great way, which is why I’m compelled to review. My wife, newborn, and sister were driving back to Denver from a trip to visit family in Kansas. We grabbed some food at this Sonic and took the drive thru because we were eager to get back on the road. We ordered a #1 without onion, a grilled cheese with fries, and a corn dog with tots. After 20 minutes and multiple cars behind us getting served, we got our food. My burger had onions on it and was lukewarm like it had been left out for about the time we’d been waiting. Normally when it takes this long, we’d at least get an apology or recognition of the fact it took a while. Not this time. All in all, I would’ve expected at least a hot burger, recognition of the inconvenience, and perhaps a shorter wait, but must have expected too much. Next time, we’ll wait to stop at McDonald’s or the Oasis on the Plains in Colby."

"We had a pretty run-of-the-mill order. The only special request was no onions on the burger. We went to the drive-thru and waited 20 minutes while watching the trucks behind us get their orders first? And the food was lukewarm when we finally got it. Oh, and there were onions on the burger."

"Excellent food and great service. Did not have the fortune of being able to go into the dining room which is a rarity for sonics. A good stop for food though."

"Very clean inside including the one stall bathroom. Staff was very friendly. Shakes were good especially the new Brownie Batter!!!"

"I ordered a small Buffalo popcorn chicken and I got a plain popcorn chicken. I was like “okay that’s understandable I’ll just go in and tell them it was wrong and get a new one”. So I did that very nicely and the girl asked me if I wanted a fresh medium sized one. I said yes please and I ended up getting the SAME SMALL COLD PLAIN popcorn chicken with a side of Buffalo sauce. Unbelievable."
