"What is it about people in the medical field these days? You should always be leery of a rude, fake nice dental hygienist who says, "There are no adverse side effects to the use of nitrous oxide [on a young developing child]." I remember being taught that there is no such such thing as a true absolute statement. You would be well advised to research the effects of NO on children as the staff at this dentist office knows nothing about the subject. And be prepared,.. when you tell the plastic epitome of a dental hygienist that you are concerned because of the scientific journals you have read on the side effects of NO use as a analgesic... be prepared for her to become more rude and forceful saying, "Oh, did you read that somewhere?" while ushering your child to the back and simultaneously insisting that you stay in the waiting room. All that i have to say is Please, if you are going to use a known toxin on children (especially if it is unnecessary as for a small filling), do some research so you can inform the clients who enter your business. I for one will never return."
