"First time customer. FBS was the only lumber yard who had 16 foot pressure treated 4 x 6 boards. I went to the Caldwell store and was given an excellent quote with a generous military discount by Abel. A few weeks later when I was ready to purchase, the Boise store was where they were in stock. David happily matched Abel’s price and we (my daughter Hannah and I) took our UHaul around back while Sara retrieved our boards. The fantastic thing about Sara was that she happily & patiently went through numerous boards to find the straight and true boards. We loaded them up and back to Caldwell we went. Now for the unfortunate part, which I am partially responsible for, the boards were too short—oops. We called the next day and Bobby was quick to apologize and make things right! We had the correct boards delivered by Cameron in less than 90 minutes! THEN to MAKE matters BETTER, Cameron helped me take the boards to my backyard. Hannah and I will be telling EVERYBODY to get their building materials from Franklin Building Supply!"

"Went into the showroom to buy kitchen cabinets, counter tops and flooring , for our remodel. 4 employees on the floor and not one said hello or attempted to help us. After wandering around for 15 minutes we decided to leave and purchased our products elsewhere. Show floor was clean and set up nicely, it's a shame we couldn't find prices or measurements so we got frustrated and left. Sad that we used Franklin solely for our home materials when we built our home, but now felt like we weren't important enough for a smile or hello. Customer Service is severely lacking."

"I’m so done buying from these guys. I’ve used them less the past few years after I realized my go-to salesman at a different location was marking up everything 15-20% to get a higher commission. Then this last week I tried to return some really warped boards they sold me and they wouldn’t take them back because they “need to be able to resell them.” Yeah like how you sold them to me? So not only did I lose time by having to leave the job site to go get decent boards somewhere else when I realized they gave me only terrible boards, I also lost time driving back there later only for them to tell me they wouldn’t take any of them back. There are some good guys who work there, and they’re probably fine for big construction companies, but for smaller construction companies it’s cheaper and ends up being more time efficient to go to the big orange store and picking out your lumber yourself."
