"Amazed they are still in business. When ordering Lake was our sales person. He told us the carpet may be delayed for a few weeks because of the factory and shipping and gave us a worse case senerio date of July 14th about 6 weeks. It took 4 days for the rep to return a message with cost and availability. Isn't that the first question anybody asks? According to Lake the factory would run the carpet and expidited shipping would get it there in time for scheduled install. Factory forgot to order the correct yarn. Original delivery date was July 14th which was suppose to be worse case senerio. New delivery date July 20th, this was second backorder. Here's the thing that really shocked me. After the first fail every time I spoke with Lake he would very sarcasticly say you can always cancel your order we would be happy to refund your money. Instead of concern for the customer just take your money and go away. Very arrogant! Again surprised they are still in business."

"We went through them to get carpet tiles for two rooms that we didn’t want to ruin our hardwood floors with. Gave us a great deal on overstocked colors. We also got our laminate flooring through them which also has been great. Their laminate was a better price, quality, and warranty than the big box store. We didn’t use them for install just products. We installed it ourselves."

"This is a hard review to write. I have mixed feelings here, but my displeasure is winning over my other feelings. On the phone, the AST people are friendly and very pleasant to speak with. The problem I have, is that none of them knows how to keep a promise or deadline. I was told twice (from two different calls) that they would call me back with quotes. When Dan Killian (apparently the owner) finally got back to me he gave me said quotes and said he'd take a look at the space it was to be installed on. We set a date and time. I waited on said day and the time passed. I called and left a message, but no word from Dan until many days later, where he said something came up and rescheduled. Up until that point I had just assumed he didn't care, after all what type of person/business misses a scheduled appointment without any word? But at that point he called back and I decided to give him another chance and move forward. Unfortunately, Dan Killian does not value other people's time as much as he should. Not only did he miss the second appointed day and time, he did so without a message or call again. I called him just to make sure, but as before he didn't pick up and probably won't reply for a few days. This isn't good business acumen. TLDR: The company people sound nice on the phone, but they clearly don't care about the people who talk to them. How they make money is beyond me."
