"Ticketed twice during the same day where I paid for parking the entire day using the mobile app. When I sent my receipts/screenshots for parking, and included a photo of my plate in my appeal, they denied one ticket but accepted the other. Makes zero sense Same situation happened again later, and they denied my appeal outright, despite my legimate proof of paying for the space. Doesn't matter if you're a graduate student or undergraduate they'll make you pay in full for the most ridiculous things. It's clear by the way they handle these appeals, all they see you as is $$$ to be made. By far the worst department on the University, which is a shame to an otherwise wonderful campus."
"I would go half a star if I could. A seriously greedy group. I was parked in a blue lot (which I paid for) the wednesday of homecoming week and got a $100 dollar fine for parking in "camper parking spots" despite never being notified about it. When I got the notification that I had received a ticket I called their main office and spoke with a representative. They were extremely rude and said that I would also have to pay for any towing expenses, despite the fact that my car had been in the "forbidden" spot for less than 20 minutes. To make things worse, I recently had to get a handicap parking pass following a surgery I had, and yeah I had to pay to use that too, despite the fact that I legitimately needed to use it. So I had no other choice but to pay it. An absolutely greedy organization, there needs to be some serious changes."
"Very inconsistent penny-pinchers. Parking will consistently ticket you over the smallest things, when they let other students play the system and get away with it. I know a student who has since he was a freshman just got the free delivery permit passes and set alarms to renew them and has never once paid for parking. I know another student who has a friend who works in Parking that just erases her tickets. But when my REGISTERED vehicle is parked legally with a permit in the right spot, I get a ticket because I had forgotten to put the tabs on. I then provided proof my vehicle is registered and sent photos of the tabs on my vehicle now, and my appeal was still denied. They just want to squeeze as much money from the unfortunate students who have to park on campus as they can. Disgusting."
"Ridiculous that there is no first warning for not knowing where each lot corresponds to what colour. I got a ticket for parking at the residential area (watched 24/7 apparently) after 5 minutes for running to do a load of laundry at a friends'. Also, how about giving grad students free parking? There is no school without us, how about some appreciation..."
"Worst experiences ever. Doesn't deserve even one star. I work here and have payed for parking every time and still get tickets because the guidelines for parking are so unclear. I now park off campus and walk super far to get to work. Do better. The employees are rude and unhelpful. They are also bad at their job - I parked in the same place for a month at the same time every morning and never got a ticket. Until one morning an employee tries to ticket me? Even though I payed? Don't expect consistency or fairness. Like do better or make more clear guidelines. Only good thing is that they will appeal the ticket (sometimes) if you tell them what's up and how its messed up."
