"When a kitten playfully batted at my granddaughter's new braces and pulled a wire halfway out, we were all startled, and my granddaughter was in tears. We're visiting from Nevada, and two kind local moms noticed our predicament and told us to go to the orthodontist on Division Street across from the high school. We found Rick Ballard Orthodontics, walked in, and were received by an office full of kind and sympathetic people, who immediately began to reassure 9-year-old Mackenzie. "Don't worry, we'll take care of you." Although they appeared busy, within minutes Dr. Ballard had Mackenzie comfortably seated. His manner was relaxed and friendly and he assured her he'd have the problem fixed in no time. It was clear he knows how to talk with children. He quickly repaired the issue, and when he heard she's a newbie when it comes to braces, he even took the time to explain what she could expect at her next orthodontist visit back home. She came in with tears and left with a HUGE smile. And then the lovely receptionists said, "No charge." I write this with a grateful heart for Dr. Ballard and his entire staff going above and beyond."
