"I went to Dr. Peckham with the goal of straightening my teeth to reduce the flare out of my front teeth. He initially said that he could do this, got me in some aligners, and they didn’t feel right so I went back with my concerns to discover the aligners would not actually work to do what I wanted, so i would have to purchase VIVOs so that I could widen my arch in order to move my front teeth in the right direction. I expressed concerns that it might not work properly, because of my missing teeth, but he assured me that it would work fully and properly. After paying him and wearing the appliance for several months, I was experiencing issues with it cutting into my gum line and causing extreme pain and bleeding. I went to him with my concerns and he then informed me that this was because of my missing teeth and that the back would not actually expand properly because of this. I was very shocked, because I would not have purchased this if I had known from the beginning, and even though I explored these possibilities, he assured me it would be fine."
