"I have been seeing Dr. Green and Nicole Berge at this practice for years now. I came to them with a complex thryoid condition, and within 6 months was on a path toward stable recovery. The reception staff is always amazingly friendly and makes me feel like they are excited to see me, and I can always get my blood work done quickly and with great turn-around results."
"I was very dissatisfied with the outcome after the appointment a family member had with Dr. Smith. I asked several questions that she was unable to answer. During the exam she said she did order a biopsy and did not even have us come in for a follow up just sent us the results by mail. I immediately made him appointment with another appointment with another physician. Who wanted to run more tests and listened to and answered all my questions. It is benign. The other physician found out there was other medical issues causing his issues."
"Dr. Smith and her practice took care of my daughter while she was hospitalized for a thyroid storm. We switched from another ENDOCRIN to Dr. Smith's office due to the care and consideration that was shown while hospitalized at Shawnee Mission Health Care Center. Her staff is extremely helpful, returns phone calls w/in 24 hours, and follows up time and time again. Excellent customer service and they LISTEN to your concerns and provide excellent treatment through and through. Would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Smith, Dr. Green, and the entire practice for any ENDOCRIN needs."
"I would give this place half a star if it was an option. I was referred to this practice by my OBGYN. I was told to send my medical records and if they didn't feel like there was enough wrong with me, they wouldn't see me. Unbelievable when you think about it... After sending medical records, they refused to see me...even though my OBGYN referred me. I am celiac, my hormones are a mess and I'm adopted with no medical history, among other things, but guess that's not good enough. Glad I have a network of Dr friends that can direct me to a more sincere practice when a referring doctor feels the need to be seen by a specialist."
"As a middle school teacher, if I dismissed a parents concerns the way Dr Nicole Smith dismissed my symptoms, I would be summoned to the principal's office. First, the appointment was difficult to make. I had to fax them proof of a lab text and then was told that these doctors do not diagnose, they only treat. (That should have sent up a red flag) After a few phone calls, I was finally allowed to make an appointment. I went to my appointment with unanswered concerns about a cortisol test that was performed by my PCP. Because of arthritis and herniated disks, I have had numerous cortisol and steroid injections over the past 10 years. I also sufferfrom PCOD, borderline diabetic, water retention, anxiety, uncntrollabe facial fair, fatigue, difficulty losing weight and muscle aches throughout my body. After discussing my symptoms with Dr. Smith, she felt that I had symptom of Cushing's Syndrome and ordered a test. After receiving the test results (which I did not understand) a message was left on my phone stating that the test indicates that I do not have Cushing's Syndrome and that I needed to go to my PCP to discuss my other symptoms and no follow up was required . That was it!! No option to call back with questions and no follow up appointment. Instead, referred back to my PCP who didn't even read my first Cortisol test accurately. Doesnt an endocrinologist specialize in disorders with the endocrine system and work WITH the PCP/OBGYN to find proper diagnosis and treatment? My OBGYN even sent me to Dr. Smith's appointment with the names of two possible prescriptions she was considering putting me on. My OBGYN wanted Dr. Smith's opinion. But apparently since I don't have Cushing's, nothing else needs to be of concern. I have never felt the need to write a review like this and cannot express how disappointed I am with the lack of fortitude demonstrated by Dr. Smith."
