Luciano's Italian Restaurant 11 North Orchard Street, Boise, ID 83706

"Went on a Friday night and the place was packed! They don't take reservations on Friday or Saturday, but be sure to check their website because you can call ahead and put your name down on the waiting list. I highly recommend calling ahead on nights when you can make a reservation because otherwise you will be waiting for at least an hour. The food was fantastic! The burrata and calamari were perfect appetizers, large portions and so tasty. If you're not sure what entree to get you can't go wrong with the penne luciano, it comes with a generous amount of chicken and a rich, creamy sauce. They finish it in the oven so it's crisp on the surface. Save room for dessert because all their desserts are made in house, we got the signature chocolate cake and it was HUGE! (See photo) it's large enough to share between 2-3 people and so decadent. Honestly one of the best Italian dinners I've had out. The only small complaint I have is that because it's so busy the service was a little slow/lacking (waiting to for the desser menu, waiting for the bill, etc) our server only checked in with us once at the end of our meal, however, our initial food order was taken promptly and the food came out in good time."

"We went as a party of 7 for a family birthday on a busy Saturday night. We used their call ahead seating which is very efficient and reduced our wait to just 30 minutes. There's a reason this place is busy: superb food and service. Everything was great including wine and atmosphere. It wasn't overly noisy and we all had a wonderful time. We look forward to enjoying our next dining experience here."

"Great food, best American Italian you can get closest to Italian. Service was great, the food is always awesome. And the atmosphere is pleasant. Prices are VERY affordable for meals. It is always packed so if you plan on going on a weekend expect 45- hour waits. Regardless the place is awesome, has 1970s mobster vibes."

"Delayed in posting, but an experience worth sharing. A transformation for the old building that now holds this lovely new addition to Boise. The food and service were pleasantly received by our group. I like the formal ambiance and presentation with a casual acceptance. Wonderful variety to choose from with detailed information from the server. I look forward to returning again. Especially for the lobster bisque and bread. Yum!"

"I cannot say enough wonderful things about this restaurant, the entire staff and the food! From simple classic, favorite dishes, to new, modern recipes, there's something on the menu for everyone! Including dessert! There's also an extensive wine menu as well as beer! The restaurant is small, the atmosphere is cozy and intimate, and the overall experience is a must!"
