Palenque Mexican Restaurant 711 West Main Street, Grangeville, ID 83530

"I have eaten here several times trying to give them the opportunity to prove that the cost of their dishes is worth the cost and they have yet to prove their worth. I will NOT be giving them another option to prove it. The food is sub par and the California fries were under cooked and dusted ,and by saying dusted that is generous, with overly cooked meat. It said carnae asada, but that was a very loose interpretation of the meat. The coconut shrimp was 6 pieces of Gordan’s coconut shrimp with some very thinly slices carrots and celery for $13 the taquitos were oily and devoid of flavor. The service from Leslie was good then the other waitress was absent, I had to go get my own chip and salsa refill. Disappointed again. 3/19/2024 well, I had some friends who wanted to go to dinner, and this is their selection. So here I ended up here again, and yet disappointed again. I ordered the ceviche this time and maybe it’s because I am from South Texas but this was definitely not ceviche. the shrimp was fishy and we all ordered water and my water was never refilled. I had to go get silverware and napkins for the table myself. The 2 what appeared to be 12-year-olds that were assisting couldn’t count after we said, there was going to be six people they brought us four menus. needless to say extremely disappointing on all areas yet again. the waitress had a scale on her face. The entire time was rude and has no idea how to have proper customer service. They must’ve been running out of refried beans because they put so much water in it. You could drink them Another waste of money and now the people I was with agree. This is not the restaurant you want to spend any money at.."

After HUNDREDS of reviews and over 1.7 million people following my reviews/ pictures This establishment has set a new record in my book as a place to never return. Do yourself a favor and do not stop here and waste your money.. Stopped in again today 3-18-2024 Only because friends talked us into trying again, NOW they lost their liquor license and can not even have a beer.. Worst restaurant EVER..."

"Ordered steak fajitas. Very disappointing. Lots of onions and peppers, very little actual meat by comparison. Seasoning was bland, no hint of lime or cumin. The fajita recipe I use at home is much better. For the price I expected more, any time you have more $$ than stars it's a non starter. I'd avoid."

"Ordered steak fajitas and got nothing but onions. Asked the lady for salsa and she gave me a little attitude and pointed at the tapatio. I don’t know about anyone else but every place I've been to has other salsas besides tapatio especially if they have street tacos. The food had no flavor at all! Sat there waiting to be asked for a refill but the lady was to busy on her cell phone."
