"This morning my husband took me out on a quick coffee run to Ladder Coffee in Spokane Valley. He had been there before and said that he really liked it. Unfortunately, my experience was not great and his being his second time there, he was disappointed in his drink, too. When we went in this morning, there were only two young baristas and they both seemed a bit distracted. It took a bit before we could order. When we did order, we specifically asked that our drinks be made hot. I ordered the brown butter cookie latte, and my husband had the pistachio matcha latte, to go. When we paid, they turned the tip screen around and said, "here's this if you want to use it". I felt inclined to tip. Both drinks took a long time to get, and they were not good, at all. Both drinks were supposed to be hot, and they were iced. My drink tasted of milk, coffee and sugar. There was no indication of butter or cookie or any flavor in the drink. The only cookie relation to my drink was a sugar cookie they sent on top of my lid. My husband's drink was bland and iced. We did not have time to make a request that the drinks be redone. I am not sure what happened but for a $7 drink that does not taste anything but a shot of espresso, milk and sugar. I am not sure we will be back."

"I really love Ladder Coffee - the staff are friendly and amazing and the food and drinks are really good. The breakfast sandwich is awesome, and their pastries are also delicious. I go fairly frequently and I'd say it's one of my main coffee places. My major issue with Ladder comes down to staffing and wait times. Ladder is chronically understaffed in the morning. Weekends have gotten better as they tend to have three people working, but weekdays, especially before 8:30 or so, are problematic, when one person is working and the drive through is open. It just doesn't seem manageable for a single employee. This is clearly a management issue, so I don't hold it against the awesome staff - there's only so much one person can do. But it does get frustrating as a customer because I never know how long the wait will be. This is particularly problematic on work days and I have left without ordering before when the wait got too long. I would suggest management consider having more people working, and closing the drive through when only one person is running everything."

"I've been to all of the ladder locations but the valley location is my favorite. Staff is always super friendly and they always make my drink right. The coffee is great and the seasonal drinks are always a delight."

"I LOVE this coffee. It’s the best I’ve had in Spokane and always hit up ladder coffee when I’m in town. This location is very open, bright and clean. The food as always was really tasty and the coffee was smooth and flavorful. Try the breakfast Sammie with avocado. I get that every time and it never disappoints. My wife got the savory waffle and she loved it! We will be back for sure."
