"After reading some comments here it adds up to why my experience here wasn't great .....the lady that owns the store knows exactly how much everything cost on ebay..if I wanted to shop eBay I can do that at home .... nothing is priced in the store and the lady acts busy the whole time your in there and watches you as if your going to steal something..sooo..after asking how much things were several times I gave up looking and asking because I'd be waisting my time."
"This store owner accepted many, many valuable items from me for consignment. Fur coats, original art work, hand carved burl pieces. She would never give me a written list or contract for these many items. It has now been over a year and I have asked her repeatedly for an accounting, to this day she has never been honest with me about anything being sold or given me any money. I have asked for my things back many times-she will not give them to me. I now consider her a thief who has stolen my things. She is a liar and extremely dishonest,, do not do business with her, be warned. She has a poor reputation in Newport a dishonest business person. Minus 5 stars."
"Petticoat Junction in Newport Washington. Sue (owner of Petticoat Junction is a real charmer and the Rip Off King! I caught this person in at least 2 lies on my first visit. I drove an an elderly disabled woman who had to sit down (was on crutches and couldn't stand for an extended period of time) Flat out lied to, then ripped this customer off. Just unbelievable! Walk through the place and you'll notice right off nothing has price tags, and there's a reason why. I wouldn't buy anything from this person at all. Petticoat Junction is currently looking to relocate because others are learning what sort of person Sue is, and so not many folks visit there. Plenty of other antique stores in Newport Washington that are run by HONEST people, who will take care of all their customers, including elderly disabled folks. You can clearly see the reviews left by family and friends that end with "stop on by" or some other form of commercial for this place. This is the second review posted here, that wasn't left by family members and friends. AVOID!"
"The extent of the antiques here is phenomenal! Plus I love Sue. She is so nice and pleasant to talk to as well as helpful."
"Great little place! Tons of kitchen and household items, clothes/purses, gas containers, and a lot more. It's packed pretty full and I ended up bumping a shelf and breaking a small figurine. The owner was incredibly nice about it though. She was really knowledgeable and never followed us around (which I've found happens in a lot of antique stores). The only negative is there were quite a few items that weren't priced. When asked, the owner could immediately rattle off both the worth and her price though, so not a big deal."
