"you get pda charges for everything even if you did nothing."
"I can't speak for others, but I can speak from personal experience. I recently graduated from Midland University Spring of 2023. This is a solid university for those who apply themselves, like anything you get what you put into it. I attended for my bachelor's degree in Art Management. The professors care about the students and their success. The school is very active with engaging the community and various societies on campus. Midland may not be for everyone only because it is tucked away in Fremont Nebraska and very community oriented. All my instructors had an open door or was always available for meetings if I needed instructions. The hybrid option is great for those who require it and when needed. The acceptance from everyone, be it age or whatever is none like I have encountered, and that is an amazing part. It is hard not to feel judged, but here I never was as a returning adult to the classroom. I have made lifelong friends and countless networks from my attendance. If you have questions, all you have to do is just ask they will tell you or they will find the answer. Midland University graduate 2023, Suma Cum Laude B.A. Art Management."
"Careful about sending your kids here, these people are frauds sometimes- I was a student enrolled in Music Education. Coming from an underprivileged background, I knew I needed a public service job with tenure, benefits, and loan forgiveness, and I felt it went hand-in-hand with my passions for music, teaching, and helping kids. They gave me high-interest, private student loans to help pay for their ridiculous tuition while I was a music education major. My grandpa cosigned my student loans, because he believed that music education was a good investment for me. When this administration took the campus over, they cut the entire music program, fired the faculty, and dropped all the music education students (it was only me). They told me I didn't have a choice, I could either get a *worthless* performance degree because it was the only thing my credits were still good for, or transfer to a new school and add years to my education. This was a lie and it was fraud. They were legally obligated to finish the degree I started and signed up for and paid for. It's called a "teach-out" and their failure to finish my education degree was fraud. But because I was a trusting kid, I didn't know I had to have a lawyer in the room with me when I talked to these executives, when they told me my major was canceled, so I took them at their word. Fast Forward, it is now past the statute of limitations when I realized what criminals they were (and are, these same people still run this campus). They even took white-out to their records and erased the record of me being an education major. They are telling me I was never enrolled in the program, and that I just coincidentally happened to be taking education classes for no reason, that there was no fraud, and that I am harassing them with slander. I've defaulted on my student loans, there are no jobs that I can use to pay all my bills and these loans besides. The cost of this school's fraud isn't just on me; my grandpa is paying out of his retirement on the loans he cosigned, that were used to pay for my music education. This campus is siphoning my grandpa's retirement money, today, to pay on the fraud they committed on me 12 years ago. If you're looking to pay top dollar for a private school, I'd recommend going to one that isn't run by frauds who lie to and take advantage of their students. Graduating in 2009 with a worthless degree that was forced on me, that I didn't choose, and a mountain of debt, ruined my life. Permanently. They burned my chance at a future to line their pockets with criminal fraud and got away with it."
"Although the sticker price is high...most students do not pay that amount. Like many colleges...you get out what you put in. I found the business instructors to be a nice mix of career professors and real world business professionals. This provided a blend of learning/understanding and applying concepts; they always had time for me and questions I had. The facilities over need attention across a variety of elements which they are working on. The student body is filled with great people. Many of the people I met still talk daily despite living states and even continents away."
"Living Hell. Attending Midland was one of the worst experiences of my life. I have only been attending the school for almost a semester and I can tell you that I wouldn't wish this place on anyone. There are too many cons to write about so I will focus on the major ones. Firstly, if you are trying to live a healthy lifestyle, forget about it at Midland. The caff has the worst quality of food I have ever experienced. The caff workers are rude and dampen your mood. My dorm room has gashes in the walls and is in a general state of disrepair. I haven't had a stable connection to the wifi in my entire time being here. The quality of this school amounts to a community college. If it were 4k a year, then it might be worth the quality you'll receive here, but instead it's 35k. On top of that, you will have to pay for the damages that the neighbors on your flood committed. If you are considering going here for athletics, I would advise against it. The coaching staff here is awful. I came for soccer, there are many players who feel degraded and have lost their love for the game. My friends on the other sports teams have only negative things to say about their respective coaching staffs. Most of the classes I have taken seemed pointless. DO NOT LET THEM PULL YOU IN. Going to Midland was the worst decision of my life. It set has been a great waste of money and has set me back. I cannot even explain how horrible it is as Midland. There are many many more cons to write about, but I don't have the time. Learn from my mistake... DON'T GO TO MIDLAND!"
