"Picked up adorable baby, Dingo. He is fitting in well. Thank you for saving these babies!"
"Rude and Ungrateful! I had set up a time to donate about $80 worth of high-quality food and treats from my beloved dog who had just passed away. When they came to the door, they didn't even greet me--they just skirted all the products in the door and closed the door quickly without even thanking me either! I understand some of the staff are just volunteers, but totally unacceptable--especially to someone who had just experienced a great loss. Needless to say, I look elsewhere the next time I want to donate to a shelter!"
"Very disappointed in the communication process. While I understand this rescue is operated on a 100% volunteer basis, that doesn't excuse the lack of response to potential adopters. I filled out an application, sent a petfinder "interest" notification, sent a text message, and left a voicemail. One specific dog caught my interest but she was brought in with 4 others and I indicated I would be open to considering one of the others too. I got one very limited response via text answering a question but then nothing. Completely ghosted. I checked back today a full 3 weeks later and all 5 dogs are listed as adopted. There was no automated email or anything to let me know my application wasn't considered, approved, or whatever. I already have a dog of this same breed and we are looking to add another. I know rescues (for the most part) do their best to fit the right animal with the right home but ghosting potential adopters pushes them away from the whole adoption process when considering adding new furry family members to their home. Letting people know they weren't selected to adopt and why would help them make the necessary changes if needed."
