"My wife pawned a pistol with them first week of May for $500. I made a payment for her two weeks later for $200. My wife went in to pay it off first week of June. This is where I believe West Siloam doesn't care about repeat business. We paid back $668 for a loan of $500 for 1 month. Now I know that what they did was legal, but in no way morally right. I called another pawnshop to confirm this. All pawnshops I called confirmed that their charges were correct, but not very good business. They have the right to double dip on refinance when I came in and paid $200 down. The problem is West Siloam pawnshop is short sighted. Not one of the shops I called utilize the same business practice as them. I have used them for ffl transfers and bought a rifle from them over the last couple of years. I don't see how anyone loaning money justifies another refinance charge when I was just making a payment on my original note. They require payment to be made in full or they will refinance your note and that payment you made means nothing. In one months' time for a $500 loan, I paid back $668. This would have been around $87 any other place that wanted your business. They have the right to charge the maximum the state allows, I get that, just like I have the right to tell this on as many review boards as possible."
