"Appears to know pulmonology well. My husband, Ed, has COPD & sleep apnea & CHF. Dr. Bowers has been working with him for a couple of years &h has his symptoms under control & stable, which is more than the VA (Leavenworth, to be fair to K.C.) pulmonologist had done. Dr Bowers saw Ed while he was in the hospital & scheduled a sleep study, although Ed had already had the apnea dx for many years. He wanted fresh data & updated Ed's c-pap when he got it. Ed is doing well with it. The VA dr had appeared unconcerned, even while treating Ed & tried to tell us that nobody ever dies from sleep apnea, which is simply not true. (We personally had 2 different friends quit breathing in their sleep & never start back up. So if you have sleep apnea, don't wait. Schedule a sleep study ASAP.)"
