Terrebonne Po' Boys

"What a great place! This was a definite surprise. Traveling across country and choosing a place only by the menu and reviews is not always easy. The Catfish Po'Boy was delicious as was the 'cup' of gumbo. The spice level on the gumbo was spot on - a little spicy for my friend but not inedible for her and just enough for me to appreciate the flavor. The sandwich was great. The bread soft and the catfish cooked to perfection - crispy but not overcooked. Sadly, I left two bites of my sandwich and no room for dessert. You won't go away hungry. The service was great. Very knowledgeable about the menu and willing to share their favorite dishes and why. I ordered one of the flavored iced teas which was delicious but way to sweet for me. She recommended adding plain Iced Tea to cut it. She took care of it and it was perfect. Several staff checked in with us during our meal. This is not a quiet intimate place. It's small but relaxed with high energy. The decor is highly entertaining as well. Get there early if you go for dinner. We got there around 6 and only had 2 people ahead of us in line. As we were eating, the place filled up (decent amount of seating) and people were waiting outside. Although it 's not a quiet place I definitely recommend eating inside. Kinda like a crowded cafeteria with separate tables and so many great things on display to look at while you're waiting."

"I LOVE LOVE LOVE the shrimp Dianne and look for it regularly. My wife and I came in tonight specifically so I could order it. The FOH manager remembered me and when I ordered, she remembered that I don’t want mushrooms in mine. Unreal when we’re not able to get over here as much as I would like. My wife ordered the mushroom Dianne and while we were talking to the manager, I mentioned she didn’t like the spiciness quite as much as I do. She immediately offered my wife something else even though she had already finished a large portion of her dish. Integrity and customer service at its best. They had beef stew on the menu tonight too and it was just as good as any of their other dishes. Big chunks of beef and veggies. Just the thing for a cool night. Would buy a gallon of it if I could. Food came out of the kitchen quickly and was HOT when it was put on the table (a big deal for me). Having been here when it’s busy, their kitchen still keeps up then and the orders just keep coming out. Does it take a little longer?? Sure. But to get the quality of food I’ll damned sure wait."

"Heads up! you order and pay for the food up front first then you’ll be given a numbered plaque to take with you. Then it’s freedom in where you want to sit and the sauces are free for all! The place had such a quirky and welcoming environment. Everyone there was very nice and great with compliments :D The food was good, I had the fried shrimp po boys and Poutine. The po boy tasted refreshing and healthy, the shrimp was good for the most part except the tail end of it was oddly hard (not crunchy). The poutine had such a wonderful savory yet slightly sweet gravy."
