"In Swope Park, the Park Rangers drive thru the grass all day just to tell you not to park in the grass? Can you make it make sense!?"
"Why does KC Parks and Rec ignore the terrible trash problem on the trails, that is visible from the street during winter? Why don't you apply for a grant so that you can fix the problem? So many bad reviews due to the trash issue, which is definitely much worse today than it was just a few years ago. Do something about it."
"Was physically attacked by one of their workers Michael Scott on June 16th 2022. He was arrested but KC parks and rec completely ignored my complaint forcing me to take legal action."
"I called in advanced multiple times about Kessler waterfall they assured me it's on from 11 to 7. It was not on, not at all for days. My wedding ceremony was supposed to be in front of the waterfall and it was but there was no waterfall. I even called the day that I saw it was turned off and I asked why it was off and they that it was just off until 11 or 12. I'm very disappointed in the city's maintenence of the northeast area. My father, who is no longer here, used to always take me through cliff drive and for some reason it's been blocked to cars because they think that that stops the dumping. The least you guys could do is keep our beautiful waterfall on when you say it's going to be on. P.s. when I saw itbwas off I personally jumped inside and picked up all the trash. We swept the area with a push broom, and I inquired about someone coming to empty the trash can, not even litter clean up just to take out the trash which we already picked up. I even bleach cleaned the sidewalk and road with a sprayer."
"Sunday night (5/16/21) a large tree fell across Little Blue Rd.. The Parks and Recs. Dept. responded quickly and took control and worked in a heavy rain to bring the situation under control. I talked to the supervisor (Mike Overcash) to compliment his crew on a great job and he was courteous and very appreciative of me taking the time to acknowledge a “Great Job”. I am retired from KCFD and it is refreshing to see the city carrying on the tradition of exemplary services. Mike and his crew are valuable assets to your Dept. and the city."
