"I will never use this office or Jackson Hewitt again. Not only did these services cost us over $700, the price was not discussed in advance. When we dropped off our tax documents nothing was said or discussed in regards to pricing. I assumed the price would be reasonable and didn’t think twice about it. I was blindsided when I came in and was told the cost and asked to pay. We were only able to use one discount despite qualifying for several. We still paid over $300 for useless services. Linda was unhelpful in every way. She was disorganized and had poor communication. She was unable to figure out the online platform which caused my husband and I to have to go in separately. We were only able to see our return the day before taxes were due because of failed communication on her end. We called the office with no answer several times. She then lied to my husband and stated she had given me my tax return form and instructions. I have received nothing other than our original w2’s back. Taxes are due today and I have no information and no forms in order to file. When we voiced our concerns all she said was “sorry you feel that way”. We also owe over $5000 in taxes and we were never called or warned that we would owe so much. Another instance of being blindsided. I complained online and asked for a call back. When I spoke to someone they just gave me the number for a different office in town. I then called that office and got no answer. I left a voicemail and still haven’t heard back. I’m extremely disappointed and plan on continuing to file complaints until something is done."

"The two stars is for completing what we went here for, which is to get our taxes done. However, the overall experience was not great. When we first signed up for our appointment, I was impressed with the thoroughness of appointment reminders as well as a phone call the evening prior with what to bring, etc. On the day of our appointment, which was at 10:30AM, we arrived around 10:20AM. When we walked in, Linda, appeared to just be getting off of the phone, was the only one in there and did not even acknowledge us. Without saying a word, she simply began to put her mask on and before sitting down, again without saying a word, she did not verify who we were or if we even had an appointment. As our appointment began, Linda still did not say much but when she did she was short and borderline rude. I will say it was gradually better as we went on but the first 30-45 minutes defiantly set the tone for the rest of our almost two hours with her. In regard to our reasoning for being there, Linda did our taxes fine. She went over the things she needed to and sent us on our way. If your looking for a place to simply get your taxes done, Jackson Hewitt would be fine. I would recommend maybe just dropping off your paperwork and coming back rather than waiting. It was also very expensive as well. As first time customers, they were advertising 50% off. However, this was only up to $200 and maybe I did not search enough or ask the right questions but they seem to keep their prices pretty hidden to begin with. So, you can imagine my surprise when it was $579. Yes, we received 50% off ($200) but we still had to pay $379 for their service. In closing, my wife and I will not be back, which is unfortunate because we really wanted this place to work but unfortunately, this was not the case for us."

"This office has been assisting me with my taxes for the past 6 years and I will not go anywhere else. They always walk me through every step and are very thorough ensuring i get every deduction I am owed. I am one of those people that always has a million and one questions and they always take the time to explain the entire tax process to me and address all my inquiries. On top of their expertise, their customer service is excellent. Linda and Steve especially always go out of their way to make you feel comfortable and at ease and make doing your taxes an enjoyable experience."
