"AJ has been a great help for my boys and I. This is a great place to help families that are struggling with various attachment issues. My boys were in foster care and therapy for years before we started seeing AJ. Even though they do not see her every week we have made tremendous growth and progress. My favorite thing is that when my oldest was struggling with a kid at school he said "we should tell his mom to call AJ, she has really helped me" AJ is one of the rare professionals that is trauma competent and truly understands the different approach required to parent kids with significant trauma experiences. I work with foster/adoptive families regularly and routinely refer the families with he biggest challenges to AJ. The one tough thing is that sometimes after therapy my son will say "That was hard today. I have a lot of feelings and I just can't do anything." Therapy is work and you get out of it what you put in it."

"Not for a second do I believe some of these one star reviews on AJ Anderson. The things that are said in those reviews are not her character at all and if someone is writing those because of their own anger issues, than you should stop. AJ Anderson and the work she is doing to help people is too valuable. She is making a very positive difference and we need her. I have seen her for my own issues, my husband and I have seen her for marital issues, and our adult daughter is seeing her for trauma related issues. We've known AJ for about a year now and she is the most incredible therapist that any of us have ever been to, and we have seen a few. She is very patient, asks a lot of questions, very professional, and very knowledgeable about the issues of trauma. She has multiple ways of working through different issues and does not move forward until someone is ready to move on to the next steps. AJ is very careful about how she approaches sensitive matters that have been so damaging to our lives. One of the reasons why AJ is so effective in helping, is that she does more than just listen. She also works through the issues. Sometimes that can be painful, but she does it very carefully and only moves forward when you are ready. AJ saved my marriage and I truly believe she saved my daughter from self destruction (a bi-product of the trauma she experienced). AJ is 100% a therapist who cares about each person she sees and fights for your well being when you have no fight left for yourself. I have recommended AJ Anderson to others and completely recommend her here in this Google review. She's worth every penny and more."

AJ was instrumental is saving my marriage and has been a key partner with us in rebuilding our relationship. "We did not listen to the negative reviews because we had a glowing recommendation for this Business from a fellow foster parent and friend and we were desperate to find help for our child. We should have listened to the goggle reviews and followed our gut instinct after meeting the therapist for the initial assessment, but because we were so desperate to help our child we continued bringing him here for therapy. My child became 10 times worse after coming here for therapy. I 100% agree with the other families that have left negative reviews on this Business. Please don’t bring your child and family here even if your desperate. It will make your child and your life much worse. We had very similar negative experiences here with the same Therapist AJ Anderson as the other families have had with their children. We have been in therapy with a different therapist for almost 6 months now and our child is doing much better. The therapist we see now with our child said bringing our child to the Attachment and Trauma Center of Missouri was probably one of the most damaging things we could have done for our child."
