Reviews of Eaglecrest Counseling Center Inc
"Be wary of the reviews that are clearly worded as unwilling to address their own issues. This place is far from dangerous. I'll vouch for them any time. I used to feel angry too, but I've been in therapy for 7 years now (I think, or close to that), and I have never had an issue with them. The issue was within myself. "They said this but I disagree" is exactly why we need therapy. They're going to say things that make us uncomfortable. That's their job. But to make us feel endangered is never their intention. That's what we do to ourselves when confronted with things we don't want to confront. It's simply psychology. It's always been a pleasure and I'm making some real progress in my life, which shows in my blessings. Maybe I just got lucky with my therapist, but if you are having issues, they are not to blame, period."
"I had a very detrimental few months here. The front desk people are good, and I am sure there are some good therapists, but this was a very dangerous place to me. I went here for help with over 30 years of emotional abuse, lies, and indifference in my marriage and in need of help with establishing boundaries. I got no help with that, but was told I needed to forgive (which I already had) and praise his scheduling a 'date' for us to go to an Under Armour outlet two weeks after she gave him an assignment to make a date for us. I was told I had walls up. I had always given complete access to my heart and have been hurt very badly by this in my marriage. My husband's heart is locked up in a cage, but I was the one with the walls. She said our core issue was that we had both taken our marriage for granted to which my husband even disagreed, as I have always been the one to put out effort to keep it together. When I mentioned to management what had happened I received a two line email a week later that they would discuss it. Clearly, the institute of 'marriage' is more valuable than any person's heart at this establishment. It was a very oppressive environment for me. Please don't be duped into going here. God Bless you on your journey!"
"I can’t share the personal trama I endured, publicly, but I want to warn you, that In my opinion, this clinic has major management problems, and are very difficult to deal with. I waited several months to get into this clinic, they cancelled on us too. I returned here, because of the previous experience I had 20 yrs ago, with their same psychologist. This time was the worst experience I’ve ever had. It actually put me from a bad situation , to a dangerous situation. I DO NOT recommend them, because I’m mortified how they handled my situation. I also am suggesting you to protect yourself by Keep records, ledgers or audio record the sessions. I had to prove something, because I was accused of lying , but I was the one telling the truth. After I presented My proof, i was ridiculed every session, after that. I had sent several emails asking to talk to them, those emails were ignored. The next session, I confronted them and asked to speak in private in the office and was told to leave, or else. I guess it insulted them I wanted answers. I then sent the recording I made of the session in question , I was told how” unethical” it was for me to do record the session . Really? It saved my sanity!!! As far as their greediness, I had contacted them IMMEDIATELY, when my bank told me, the wrong numbers were printed on my checks. I’ve always consistently paid my bill, without fail. Hundreds of dollars. Jim Cherry, was told of the situation and he ran my check anyway. He charged me $40 and was very smug about how he handled it. There is a large difference between seeking life coaching and mental health treatment, if you need true care, please consider this and the other reviews I’ve read."
"This counseling office is absolutely amazing. People who complain on here need to not give up on getting mental help. My husband and I have been receiving this office's counseling help for about 2 years now and it has greatly helped our marriage as well as our family relationships and friendships also. Eaglecrest is a business and not a community center, so all these comments about money problems are completely irrational. For those who would judge... I am not an employee, but a patient who recognizes that this Office has humans for a staff and dealing with people who suffer different mental health issues must be extremely difficult to deal with and I feel for them!"
"I love my counselor but I’m so sad she’s tied to this money making business. Yesterday I had to cancel my appointment because I couldn’t find a ride. I was trying to get an Uber but didn’t have the funds so I called and cancelled. A very unhappy with his personal life type character told me I should have called sooner. I went all weekend without my car because I had to get a lyft home from work after the ice storm. So I didn’t have a car all weekend and I still was trying to go to my appointment but it just wasn’t possible. I really like Linda but the front desk people have driven me away from even trying to see my therapist anymore. It is absolutely not worth going through the front office to see Linda anymore. My advice would be to drop the greed and display some caring qualities. Especially since you’re also representing Christianity. I have never been to a therapist office with such rude staff that I had to go to another place. But I already called EAP and got referred to a different therapist. Sorry Eaglecrest and Linda, your rude front desk employees have lost their precious revenue from me and Linda has lost a patient that needed her. You can’t work in the office of a therapist office and be mean. People don’t come to therapy to be ostracized over billing and money. That is the biggest focus I feel in there. It has been the worst relationship with a therapists office I’ve had."
