"I started training at Kraken 9 months ago. I had wanted to do jiu-jitsu for years but was hesitant due to worry about training with men and it not being strictly professional. My experience at Kraken has been amazing! The culture there is one of integrity and respect, and the instructors are all top notch. I started off with the goal of learning self-defense, but my goals are higher now. I feel like I've acquired skills that could actually be used in a real-world situation, and the confidence that's given me is an amazing feeling. My girls train there as well, and I can see a significant difference in their confidence and ability as well. They carry themselves differently. Proud to call this academy home!"

Professors Alex and Rusty are extremely knowledgeable and very good at translating it in a way that’s easy to learn. They have a fantastic kids program as well. The gym itself is clean and they even have a nice shower and multiple bathrooms. The best thing you can do for yourself is come down and meet Alex and get started"

"I never make reviews but with how awesome this place is I felt like I had to give it a review. If you're considering stepping into the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, let me assure you that Kraken BJJ is the place to be. When I walked into Kraken BJJ the owner warmly greeted me, taking the time to personally get to know me. I was very happy to sign up for the 7 day free membership since most places only allow you one class. When I joined the mat for stretching, I was met with many people introducing themselves trying to get to know me. Everyone was super nice which made it a very fun environment to be around. The classes are fast but everyone there is super nice where if you have a question they are more than happy to help. After my free membership was up the owner never pressured me once into getting the membership. But I couldn't be more happy to get one. You can tell the owner cares more about the members that go there then about the money. Also the value is unbeatable. The range of classes they provide, (GI BJJ, No GI BJJ, Striking MMA) which would cost a premium elsewhere (close to double), is included in the membership. I think this place is the best bang for your buck. I am looking always looking forward to practice. To learn new skills and make new friends. I am very fortunate I found this place."

He's great with the kids classes and really helps break it down so they understand. This gym has a solid culture of folks dedicated to reaching their goals with the help of a great coach.
